Holy mother of Moses!! Buckalew’s on Main is a must! Don’t think about it, just go! Their brisket is worth driving two hours for. Juicy, tender and a generous portion. I had a near religious experience biting into that brisket! The rest of it was delicious, too. The mac and cheese was very rich and creamy. It’s a cozy looking little place and the staff was very friendly. I had a great meal and a wonderful time here. And Milner is a neat little town, as well. It’s exciting just thinking about a time that I can go back and eat again!

Always delicious food. Wait time can be a little longer, but when the food tastes like theirs, you’ve got to expect it. Great stop for lunch or dinner in lamar county.

Read the reviews and they all sounded wonderful. After finally eating here my suspicions were confirmed. Nobody has ever had good food before. It wasn’t bad. Not at all. But it was mediocre at best. I’m pretty sure the mac and cheese was Kraft. Maybe even a bargain brand. Tender pulled pork was the best thing about it. It was very good. Sauce was okay, maybe I picked the wrong one, dunno. Like I said, it was just okay, nothing great.

We live right down the street so it is so nice and convenient to hop down and grab dinner on nights you don’t feel like cooking 🙂 the loaded potato is great!

The food is good quality but if you don’t want something covered in seven gallons of sauce and bacon bits you have to order from the kid’s menu. Employees seemed generally unhappy, which is indicative of combative management behavior.

I tried this spot out a couple days ago. I want to say first and foremost that one of the owners (Hannah) was the biggest breath of fresh air. Folks these people genuinely care about their customers and their employees. I was privileged to witness her in her element! Remember to support YOUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES! Especially this hidden gem! Thank you Hannah for your kinds words and for all you do!

Food was decent, but while I think gay people should have rights and all, I don’t know if they should be french kissing in the kitchen. Kinda sus.

Great local restaurant. A variety of sauces are available to try. My husband loves the Alabama White Sauce…tastes just like his grandma made! I love the flavor of the pork so much, I don’t even use sauce. We live almost an hour away but drive to support and eat well!

This was our first visit and we will be back. The service was quick despite a sizable line, the staff was friendly, and the food was fantastic. Make sure you try the Alabama White sauce and the Tangy Vinegar – both are outstanding. We tried the pulled pork, mac and cheese, Brunswick stew, fries, and cole slaw and all was wonderful. I particularly liked the slaw and I’m generally picky about slaw. We will definitely be back.
