If you like seafood, this is your place. The dining area is smaller than expected. They had the doors open and seating on the patio to make up for the smaller dining area. It was 102 degrees outside, and the doors opened. They had misters, but it was still warm inside, which made the experience uncomfortable. The drinks were overpriced for what you did receive. The fish and chips were made with haddock and had no flavor. Was not a dense fish and fell apart and not very good. The French fries tasted like fish as if they were fried in the same grease. The sushi was fresh and good. The oysters had 3 doing sauces. The side dish of asparagus was very well done and would recommend. When you make reservations ask to sit in the dining area away from the opening to the patio, especially when it is warm. The hamburger was cold, but this place isn’t known for meat. I just expected that it would come out hot and the cheese would have been melted. Overall, it was ok.

Loved the ambiance (other than the wallpaper choice ). It was fully packed, but we still had great service. The happy hour was absolutely an amazing deal! We were full after happy hour apps and bummed we couldn’t order more. The oysters were completely fresh and delicious. The drinks were delicious too–not too sweet and they were creatively concocted. We’ll be back–hopefully to order dinner!

Every time I thought about coming here, it was always booked! Well, it was definitely worth the wait. I came on a Friday evening at 6, there was a huge crowd standing at the bar in the middle and people waiting to be seated, with drinks at least! My party was seated promptly after arrival which was nice. It is dimly lit and it seemed just about any occasion was being celebrated. Birthdays, dates, family gatherings, and old friends catching up.

It’s 110 degrees outside, everything is melting… but not at Buck and Rider – especially for Oyster Day. A three piece live band that actually knows how to jam combined with large portacool coolers and a patio misting system… and great food?! With all of this, It doesn’t feel like we are in a 110 summer anymore… thank you for the great start to the weekend, B&R, Lexi, and Hailey! P.S: do the coolers and live music on the Saturday brunch days!! Everyone on the patio was enjoying themselves.

A new place to try and let me tell you it was awesome. The service was on point and friendly. The food was fresh and hot when it arrived. Calamari was lightly breaded. The oysters were amazing. The steak cooked to perfection, mahi mahi was a perfect size. The side of carrots were prepared with some citrus. The shrimp scampi risotto was creamy and super big fresh shrimp. Crab cakes had no filler. Overall, this will be a must stop when in town! @food_from_the_usa

Stopped in for lunch. If you’re looking for fresh seafood this is a great choice. Everything that we tried was cooked very well and tasted great. The service was friendly and fast. For the quality of food it was reasonably priced.

Nice place for lunch. The fish sandwich was really good, and my lunch companion enjoyed his fish and chips. The staff was friendly, and our server was helpful and attentive. I would definitely go again.

This was our first time at this restaurant, we discovered this gem driving by it and decided to make a reservation for our Anniversary dinner. We had our reservation for a Saturday evening, it was not crowded but busy in the restaurant. We were greeted by the front desk lady who was polite. We waited for 4-5 minutes by the front desk, another server asked us if we wanted to order drinks while we were waiting to be seated. We ordered Kyoto Sour and my husband ordered 15 year old Whistlepig Whiskey. Our drinks were great and perfectly done. My husband’s drink was pretty straightforward on a block of ice. We were seated shortly after receiving our drinks. For appetizers, we ordered Crispy Calamari and fresh Oysters- Madhouse andRochambeau. Oysters were amazing specially Madhouse, my husband loved it so much that he ended up ordering extras. Calamari was okay, slightly more on the oily side, the sauces that it came with were great, called Thai sauce and Killer Louie (both equally flavorful). For the main course, we had Bone in Ribeye with sides of Broccolini and I choseShrimp Scampi Risotto. Beef was amazingly tender and flavorful, nice size portion so was my dish. Shrimp tasted very fresh and lemon garlic sauce was to die for. The only negative was Polenta was not done properly and had hard grains to it. Both portions were good sized that we took some leftovers home and loved it as much the next day. I also tried the cocktail Yellow Jacket which was all right, Kyoto Sour was better in myopinion. Our server was wonderful, helped us in the menu and she was very knowledgeable. They have a neat board in the restaurant where guests names come up, the ones who are there for a special occasion whether Birthday or Anniversaries. We waited for our names to show but it did not, little disappointed not seeing our names but nonetheless, we had a great time at Buck & Rider and we loved the food, ambiance and customerservice. We cannot wait to go there again and try their other delicious items. I have already recommended this restaurant to my foodie friends and would recommend this place to anyone who would enjoy some fresh seafood and this friendly establishment.

We had a great experience at Buck and Rider in North Scottsdale. We started our meal with the Deluxe Spicy Tuna Roll and the Hamachi & Salmon Roll. Both rolls were beautifully presented and had a great flavor. The sushi was fresh, and the fish was tender. The spicy aioli and soy glaze added to the taste of the rolls and gave them a nice kick. We also had the Caesar Salad, which was fresh and flavorful. The hand-torn croutons were a nice touch, and the Parmesan Reggiano added a nice crunch.
