Long wait for food that is just ok. I had hotdog and fries and there was nothing special about them. Fresh cut fries have to be cooked right, these were pretty mushy. Price was good for the food

That is a really god Italian Beef! Seasoned to perfection! Generous portions of beef and cheese. The fries are hand cut in the restaurant and you get more than you can eat. The owner is a really friendly guy. This a great spot!

This was my first time at Bubby’s. As I told the owner, I have now visited 159 Italian Beef/Hot Dog stands in the Chicago area. Yes I loved the dog, the ice and the gravy sandwich BUT what stood out was the fact that the owner was the friendliest and most sincere of all the people I have dealt with in the last 4 years doing my survey. Friendly service goes a long way, it’s a sign of intelligence.

Read all the positive reviews here and since I was in the area decided to stop by. Got myself a beef and a cheese dog with hand cut fries. I will have to say that the beef sandwich was the best beef sandwich I’ve ever had. It was beautifully seasoned and balanced nicely with the sweet peppers and the dipped juice. Cheese dog was on point too so I will give this place five stars and put it in my favorites.

Too many tasty items too choose, I decided on a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and a chicken sandwich… I had them both cut in half 1/2 of each placed into a box and hand it off the other meal to my wife. Still the only place I know of that makes a root-beer shake. Only downside is they’re only open for lunch…

Super friendly people. Food is delicious. Standard american fare. Burgers,beefs, dogs fries. Milkshakes appetizers. Hot fresh made food you’ll enjoy. Take out or dine in. Call ahead for speedy service. Enjoy!! PS. Burger was a monster, couldn’t finish it,came with a mountain of fries!!

The owner treats everyone with kindness and respect. Knows his craft very well. You may have to wait extra during lunch rush on a weekday but the food is delicious and would recommend it if you live or work in the area.
