The food is great and definitely worth at least 4 star. Jerk chicken is definitely the best thing on the menu follow by oxtail (I have had better oxtail) Customer service definitely sucks here and it is always hot inside the store. They need to fix or install AC.

Food is absolutely delicious I got Large oxtail ,small oxtail, large brown stew chicken. The large meals come with macaroni and cheese and cabbage everything was extremely tasty. The price of the oxtail was very reasonable considering the amount they give you and what other places charge so you just can’t beat it I’m from Miami and have been here for almost 2 years this is the best in Tampa that I have tried.

The food here is outstanding, and I’m very happy we stopped here for lunch. However, there are no tables to eat at, so it’s carryout only, and I wish it would have said that. Also, like many Jamaican restaurants, most of the items on the menu are not available, so you have to ask what they have, but that is also to be expected. The jerk chicken and curry chicken are delicious, and so is the mac, cabbage, rice and pea, and cornbread. Plus, the servings are huge. The only thing I wish is that there was a place to sit and eat, even if just a picnic table outside, and also, a better variety of drinks. I’m not a soda person and love to drink juice with my island food. Other than those two things, it’s amazing!

My husband is STUCK on this hole in the wall joint. He swears the jerk chicken is DELICIOUS . The brown stew chicken is ok. The owner is nice & the portions are perfect! Jamaican food is difficult to prepare- it must be authentic. Never have I visited a Jamaican food spot that doesn’t sell patties ♀️. The cabbage is FIRE omg. Rice & peas need more gravy but it’s doable in a crunch. Nowhere to dine in because it’s very small & hot as the devil inside.

I came here twice so far & I’ll go time and time again. I got curry chicken yesterday and the chicken was very well made, tender and juicy! Today, I got some oxtail and I loveddd it! Oxtail is my favorite food so I am very picky about how it is made but this place did not disappoint me at all! I would recommend anyone who wants some real good Jamaican food to come here, prices are unbeatable for the quality & quantity that of the food. ❤️

This is absolutely the best Jamaican Food in the area. It’s a small “hole in the wall” place, but I drive an hour to Tampa just to get the Jerk Chicken. I usually buy two so I can have one for later. The portions are very large and will last a long time. I used to own a Caribbean carry-out and I am always searching for good Caribbean food. This is by far better than everything I’ve tasted. This Dread knows how to cook!
