Have had a love hate relationship with Bruno’s for many many years. Great pizza, horrible customer service and employees. Rude, careless, nasty people. Today I am done with them after they delivered a pizza like this and refused to refund or remake it.

I delivered pizzas for Bruno’s 30 years ago as an undergrad at Miami. I probably ate my weight in Bruno’s while at school, and it’s still the quintessential Oxford hometown pizza. Got a sliced pie this evening and it still has the same charm. Gotta try it if you’re in town!

Pizza is really good. Lived in Oxford for a long time and never tried this place until a few days ago. Really decided to try it out since all the students are out of town so there was parking available. Service was very attentive and quick. I still prefer Chester’s but this place makes a good pie as well.

Never got our pizza…paid for it though. (Even left a tip when I paid) I will say that one rude interaction doesn’t justify another. I’m sure the owner likes it when it’s busy. There was one person making pizzas and tending oven. One person taking orders, maybe a driver in and out. One person, who was possibly the manager, pretty much just scowling at customers. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! Will not likely return…too many other options to go through the hassle.

I have been ordering and eating food here since I was 15 years old. So basically that means for 43 years I keep coming back. That should tell you all you need to know about the quality of food and service. I actually like their cheese pizza the best.

I don’t know why Bruno’s is getting some flak in other reviews – it’s some of the best NY-style pizza I’ve had. The crust is perfectly thin but crispy and fairly structurally sound, with just a little bit of flavorful char, the cheese is delicious and abundant, the toppings don’t come off with the cheese when you eat – it’s great pizza. The wait was only 10 or 15 minutes and the price was very fair for such a high-quality pizza.

These people are so unnecessarily rude for how mediocre their pizza is. They have a no-eating-inside-their-business-at-night policy which means if you bite a piece of pizza while your friend is ordering theirs they will kick you out. The last time I went to order it was completely empty besides me and while I was ordering it started raining. I went to order and right before swiping my card they told me it was a 25 minute wait. Since I didn’t have a raincoat and the lobby was empty I asked if I could wait there and they said no I had to wait in the rain. If they want to be that mean their pizza shouldn’t be waxy. I would rather shop anywhere else in Oxford.

Barstool Sports would be proud. No flop. Good dough, good sauce. My last pizza was pretty light on the sauce, a tad bit more would be appreciated, but this is the best pizza in Oxford. Big boy prices; Little Caesars is down the road for the ones who put price over quality.

Edit to prior review: dark haired woman behind the counter was not the owner’s wife, just a terrible cashier

Dark haired woman who works behind the counter is incredibly rude and disrespectful to customers. I don’t know what boy in middle school rejected her to make her so bitter but she has no understanding of customer service. Besides that all other employees are lovely and the food is lovely all be it slightly overpriced.
