The brisket was deliciously moist. Not over bearing with fat. The rich smokey flavor is very much present but not over powering.

Parking was a little tricky, but well worth the hassle. I really enjoyed their barbecue. The chicken was delicious and tender, the brisket and ribs almost fell apart while slicing, and the corn had incredible seasoning. We loved everything we tried!

Simple no frill bbq spot with reasonable price, good selection, and convenient seating and parking area. We arrived around noon on a Saturday and there was not a long wait. There is also a bar across from the food truck where you can get alcoholic drink if wanted.

If i could give 6 stars, I would. The service is quick and the food is phenomenal! If you’re going to try any bbq spot in the austin area, try browns. The brisket is moist, the ribs are succulent, and you cant miss with the sides. The mac & cheese is our favorite! Only downside is that the food sells out fast! so get there quick!

Where to start? Nicest people, quick service, and cool truck experience. First the pork: very tasty, with a nice smoky flavor. A super star! Next brisket: melts in your mouth. An experience. Amongst the best. Finally, the sausage. Very, very nice. Loved the sauces (if you like the vinegar based types). The sweets are good. The Nana pudding is as good as any out there. The peach cobbler could be peachier. Final recommendation: Get out of the city and try it. It should be a stop on any BBQ Austin Tour.

Don’t sleep on this place! It’s highly rated for a reason. Commitment and honesty shine through the food. My fault for showing up at end-of-day, but the chopped brisket and Mac and cheese has me itching for the full experience on my next trip to Austin! Yes, I have been to Franklin’s.

Brown’s BBQ is the Real Deal. Otis and Sharon are Texans and get their vidals from their Texas family ranch.

With so many options in Austin, including the “famed” spots, Brown’s is more than worth checking out. Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. I got half pound brisket, half pound pork ribs, small bean and slaw, and a medium Mac and cheese. Brisket was excellent—finger pull apart moist with a good ratio of meat and flavorful fat. The ribs were the same and surprisingly big and meaty! The slaw is legit with the lightest touch of mayo, if any, salt and pepper. The Mac and cheese was hella cheesy but lacked a little bit of a downhome-like consistency. The beans had a lot of brisket, which I enjoyed, but my vegetarian wife couldn’t quite pick around. More for me then. Skip the overhyped. Support Black-owned businesses. I’m sticking to Browns for my Austin BBQ.
