This place was great. The Buffalo Shimp was Delicious, The Ribs and Greens were excellent and the staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. The owners father AJ came over to the table to check on us. A real family place.

A rare five-star review from me. This place was simply awesome. It is only a couple miles from one of our locations which I visit for work about once a week. When they are not super busy, the owner comes out and socialize a bit with the patrons which I really appreciate. The pulled pork is simply delightful. Where is amateurs will typically douse the pork in sauce, these professionals marinate it to perfection and the sauce is a simple accompaniment to the overall dish. The macaroni and cheese was a good side dish. The cornbread is hit-or-miss, I have had some really good ones, and I also had one that was in need of a little more heat. I would give this place six stars out of 5 for their food because of the taste alone. The ambiance and involvement of the owner or big with me as well. The front leaves a little bit to be desired, and I mention to the owner that from the street, a better presentation upfront could be a little more inviting. Once inside, be prepared for a great barbecue in a friendly environment. What more could a guy ask for on a quick lunch break in the middle of a 10 or 11 hour work day?

This place was practically empty on the night we went (a weeknight). The kid who took our order was nice, but did not understand the menu and pricing, which created an issue when we got the bill. The food was decent to good for NJ BBQ. The ribs were the best meat I had. Not the best ribs I’ve ever had, but they were good. The chicken breast was incredibly dry. If you get the breast, just get it with the sauce, cause you’ll need it. The chicken thigh was good and the wings were above average. Our pricing issue was with the substituting of sides. First off, if you’re a BBQ joint, customers should be able to choose between just about every side you have. That’s the whole point of BBQ sides; mixing and matching. This place does not allow subbing of sides, so if you want Mac n cheese you have to pay for the bigger 2 person side. In my mind, that’s dumb. But if your going to do that, make sure your waiters know the deal. He did not, and we were charged some extra cash. Not a huge deal, but it was annoying, and then exacerbated when we brought it to the managers attention, and she basically tried to blame us. We probably won’t be back.

This is a friendly family run eatery. The atmosphere is casual and the menu is full of traditional favorites. The owner says they are family recipes.

Excellent value, excellent food, excellent service. I’ve never been a big BBQ person but this restaurant is starting to change that. Their burgers are the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been to the heart of Texas for BBQ, and a sub-$10 burger less than 15 minutes from my home beats even that. Their sides are excellent, especially their cornbread. Great meal for a night out with friends or family. The restaurant is owned by a family that frequently oversees the restaurant, and they’re a terrifically friendly group of people. Best BBQ in a 20 mile radius, if not the best I’ve had.

The food here is incredible and the staff is so friendly! We stopped here by chance driving back to Long Island from Philly, and we had the Feast for 2. Everything was delicious, better than any BBQ we’ve had! The chef came out to ask about our meal, we chatted for a bit and he was very friendly. The only disappointment is that we live two and a half hours away.

Have eaten there 3 times since my first experience. Not the best location but worth the extra effort finding it. So far, I have had the ribs, the Ruben, the burger and the grilled chicken sandwich. The ribs were falling off the bone, with a great balance of tang and smoke. Don’t load up on the BBQ sauce and you will enjoy the Carmel flavors more directly. Order the full rack. You won’t regret having some to take home. The Ruben is the best that I have had North of Kelly’s in Neptune City until you hit Brooklyn. Zero fat, great texture and they butter grill the rye bread. You will notice the extra care they put into balance and assembly even down to how they package your to go order. The burger was well seasoned and a great piece of meat. When loaded with fixens you will be in food coma territory if you try and finish in one sitting. Same with the grilled chicken. They both were cooked quickly and very very hot resulting in deep grill marks, a sweet crust and a tender and juicy center. Signs of a real pro and great gear at the grill. Both were on a big fresh kaiser bun that is spectacular once it soaks up all the juices. I am wishing the were open on Sunday, but they are family run and need the day off. #cantwaitformonday

Kudos to this newer restaurant that has mastered the art of BBQ. A somewhat reserved town, East Windsor needed a GOOD restaurant, and they found it here. The ribs are obviously amazing, and their portions will send you home stuffed. The staff are the most personable that I have seen in a while and make for a fun and enjoyable experience. BYO FYI

I had the Italian hot dog and a side of fries . Seriously the best Italian hot dog I’ve ever had! My sister was there and I tried her ribs… Definitely tender as could be, and so flavorful without a pool of sauce!
