My favorite BBQ in the area. First time we went to Brook’s to eat pulled pork but also bought a 6 piece wings with no sauce. The pork sandwich was great but the wings were amazing! Wings smoked to perfection! We literally drove right back to Brook’s and bought 24 more.

I stopped in for baked beans and slaw to take to a church event. They were able to deliver and in a big way! Both were a hit! I also got traditional wings while there and they were great!

So Dang good they no longer care how you feel about waiting. They know If you want it bad enough your gonna wait for it. 1 person in front of me waiting on 1 sandwich. 25 minutes to pick up a family pack. So aggravating but that first bite of outside meat with their slaw will keep me coming back and griping every time.

I have finally been able to try this place out. Sometimes simple is the best way to do things. This is exactly what they do here. They keep it simple and it works great! The food is very good. They do not have any seating for dine in but that is no problem. Get it to go and have a picnic outside at a park or eat at home. Either way it is very good. The slaw is awesome and the sauce is spicy. The prices are very good and the service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend eating here and I will be coming back for more!

This is the BEST slow cooked oak smoked BBQ you can find. It’s a hole in the wall but we drive over 500 miles to get there. Their secret hot sauce and slaw recipe is incredible on hot dogs, BBQ or just by itself. The staff works very hard to serve an excellent product and they have never failed us. We’ll be back when our gallon of hot sauce we brought home runs out.

This was the last planned eatery establishment on this trip we were to visit and it was the perfect place to end it on…the kind of family run place you want to keep coming back to…a lot of history to this place…I had a fine plate of ribs with real homemade potato salad and their special coleslaw…Yum…also a order of lemon pepper wings and slice of sweet potato pie to remind one of better times…now on to find a place to picnic

Take out only but excellent BBQ at reasonable prices. They are working with a tiny crew, so patience is needed.

This place is on al.com’s list of 50 best bbq restaurants in Alabama and it didn’t disappoint. I had the pulled pork plate and my buddy had ribs. The pork was tender and smoky and I loved the bark on it. Not every restaurant cooks pork so it has a nice bark but Brooks’ did and it added a nice textural contrast and a slightly smokier bite. The ribs were ridiculous! My buddy tried to pass me one while holding the bone and the meat slipped right off. They were super juicy and tender and the flavor was off the charts! They were seriously some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. The quality of the meat is some of the best in Alabama. The sauce was vinegar based and packed a slight punch,, but the texture was gritty so I used very little of it. The beans were firm and a bit too spicy for me. They tasted kind of one note and were seasoned hot like cayenne. I finished them but they weren’t my favorite. The yellow slaw, on the other hand, was outrageous! I’ve only had mustard based slaw one other time and was OK with it, but this recipe is one of my favorite slaws in the state. I ate almost my entire meal with a bite of slaw and pork together. The tangy slaw and sweet pork were the perfect complement to each other. That slaw is available in stores around the Muscle Shoals area and I will buy some next time I’m that way. I liked it that much. The my last side was potato salad and I thought it was very nice. It was heavier on the mustard and that was good by me. We also had the pecan and coconut pies. The pecan was good but the coconut was crazy! The pies are homemade and the slices are thin and small but the flavor is huge! Plus they’re less than three dollars. The plate in my picture plus pie and drink was less than $14, an amazing bargain. I will definitely be back. Please go out of your way to visit Brooks Barbecue. You will love it!

Will not answer the phone. Tried to call to place an order for several hundred dollars worth of food, and cannot get in touch with anyone at Brooks BBQ. Tried to call multiple times and left messages, but no one answered or called back.
