The Vietnamese restaurant I was taking my sister is closed on a Monday’s night. I decided to try Broken Rice and Pho as it was in the same area. I am extremely happy I did. The restaurant was very clean and had cool decor. The two waitresses were both sweethearts. They explained the menu and made great suggestions. My sister ordered the beef strew with rice noodles and a baguette on the side. I wish I had ordered the same after tasting how favorable and tender the meat was. If you like beef, then definitelyThe waitress came as soon as our food arrived. She showed us how to mix the salt, pepper, lime, and chili paste to make a delicious sauce that has just the right kick. The chicken wasn’t as tender in the Pho Pho GA, but good flavor. The iced coffee was better than Starbucks. 😉

I love this place. Great food. It’s a large restaurant with 1-2 waitress. The wait can be long. Bahn mi, soup, and noodles are all amazing. Try sugar cane drink.

We’ve only been here twice, and this second visit was enough to solidify Broken Rice as our new favorite Vietnamese food place in Kansas City, and maybe of all time. The sandwiches are heavenly – in-house baked baguettes that are fresh, soft inner bread but crisp outer crust with a touch of sweetness, and the sandwiched ingredients are paired perfectly together. The broken rice dishes are hearty and savory without feeling heavy.

Great Vietnamese restaurant! The owners are so kind and the food is well prepared, unique, and delicious. It is obvious that they take pride in the food they serve. I tried the Woven Rice and Pork and it was amazing. Recommend this place if you want to try something new! Will be back to try something else on the menu. 5 stars!

Friendly staff and we got our food quickly. No refills on our water though. Everything is a bit over priced compared to the surrounding restaurants that serves the same stuff. Their drinks look pretty in the book but not worth the price, especially the coffee. There was barely any noodles in the Bun Bo Hue and they were all broken. Bun Bo Hue flavor was perfect though. Nonetheless this is a first and last for us.
