The food was good. My favorite actually was the soup. I believe it was Mediterranean shrimp, but whatever it was called it was delicious. My steak was a little over medium, but was tasty with the sauce on top. The roasted potatoes and vegetable medley of carrots & broccoli were cooked perfectly. My drink was well made. I had an Old Fashioned. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. There were several people at the bar and a few tables with two to three people at each table during the time I was dining. This was my first time eating at this restaurant, but the other patrons seemed to be regulars or were familar with the staff. Everyone was friendly. The servers seemed knowledgeable about the specials and how items were prepared. Kristen was my server and she was very attentive. Overall very nice 8pm dinner for me.

We reserved the Ingleneuk Room for a casual “baby sprinkle” brunch for 13 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere was very sophisticated and welcoming. The service was impeccable. Our server, Rico, went above and beyond to make our private party comfortable and to make me and my SO feel special. SO & I have been here before, and the food did not disappoint once again. Delicioussss and not too costly! 10/10 would recommend.

The food is fine if really hungry- but don’t be deceived by the professional photos on this site. We were excited to try the menu, but the “heirloom tomato salad” has only a half of a single heirloom tomato in it; the Thai mango chicken could have come out of a microwave dinner box. Best to stick with the beer, which is, by contrast, excellent here.

Cool place to wine & dine right on Swarthmore’s campus. Food is great as is service. Mostly well-priced but my only gripe is they charge for bread.

They make a great Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. It was delicious. I thought there would be more cole slaw, but it was just a little on the sandwich. Still, it was very good. Just know that before you order your side. And honestly, the atmosphere was kinda loud. I know I’m getting older, and it’s harder to hear in restaurants, but still. Overall, very good.

Hidden gem in the heart of Swarthmore. Went for a family dinner and was amazed at not only the amazing drinks but the dinners were outstanding! Dessert- to die for.

Quaint, quiet, quality. This restaurant is in the heart of the Inn of Swarthmore. Fresh, savory, delectably organic, every dish is seemingly composed of the healthiest ingredients for any great meal. I’ve been there three times already. This may be my brunch-go-to on Sunday mornings. You will love it.

Stopped here after hiking the crum wood trail behind Swarthmore College. It was Sunday evening, there were a few tables filled inside and outdoor seating area as well as at the bar. The place is clean and comfortable. We sat at a booth in a corner. The menu was typical for a restaurant in a hotel. We ordered crispy broccoli, impossible burger and fish taco. The broccoli was crispy but a bit greasy. It had some green sauce (pea mash?!)on the bottom of the plate and black and white sesame sprinkles. The pea mash didn’t add too much to the broccoli, neither did the sesame. It would be more fragrant if the sesame were toasted. The impossible burger was regular meatless burger. It came with standard fries, which was mediocre. The lettuce in the burger was wilted, I expected the lettuce to be fresh and crisp. The fish taco were okay. It seems to be tuna, but more like tuna chunks from store bought tuna pouches, the slaws and the sauce were nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly but service was slow. I think the staff paid more attention to tables in the outdoor dining area than where we sat. The food was very underwhelming. For the prices of the dinner items we ordered today, I had much higher expectations. There is parking onsite and plenty of street parking nearby and it’s right next to the train station.

On our way home from the airport, we decided to stop and have dinner. We chose this place because the name sounded cozy and traditional. We arrived from the parking lot through the hotel checking area. Tried to make a reservation online but the soonest we could get one was 45 minutes later. We decided to go anyway and we’re seated right away. There was plenty of seating. First impression, the place was very simple and nice. The host was very pleasant and accommodating. Ok, so now the not so good stuff. The place was well lit, maybe to well. I felt like I was at a turnpike rest stop or a cafeteria. There is a fireplace that was not lit even though it was chilly and damp out. It would have given a ton of ambience as would turning down the lights a bit. The bar area looked great and the lighting was perfect. We arrived during happy hour, so dinner turned out to be 4 appetizers for dinner which turned out to be more than we could eat. It was a good value for a wide variety of foods. We both had a one glass of wine. The food was less than impressive. Again, the presentation was lackluster. We had meals at the airports that were served with more flare. The food was just ok and disappointing at the same time. This place seemed to lack passion from who ever is in charge. One note: everyone at the bar seemed like they were enjoying their time there. That part was done right. Even the lighting was perfect. By the way, we did ask if they could light the fireplace. They said they would but never did. My wife asked if I would come back. My answer, I wouldn’t make a special trip here for the food but if I was in the area and just wanted a simple lunch or dinner, I would possibly stop back, possibly but unlikely. Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression. For me, it wasn’t a very good one. Potential is there but the passion isn’t.
