Sat at the bar for a drink and some oysters. Paul our bartender was great! The shrimp and oysters were very fresh, and they have fresh horseradish with the cocktail sauce. My drink was unique and full of flavor (Clarified). This was my first time in Newburyport and I will definitely recommend Brine.

Winner winner seafood dinner! Dined here 12yrs ago when they first opened and the oh-so-delicious Clam + Pork chowder remains on the menu! This alone seals the deal. Howevvverrr there’s much more like the so so fresh Oysters on the half shell. And the most amazing Persimmon salad I’ve encountered. Such a unique, sweet fruit. And artfully prepared, too. The Seafood Tomato risotto was ok however the grilled Octopus is seriously out of this world. Run, don’t walk and enjoy Brine!

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Brine Oyster Bar. The bar service was slow but the food was absolutely delicious! Maeve our waitress was exceptional and comped us with a glass of champagne at the end of our meal. She was so knowledgeable in all things food and libations and such a delight to talk to. The atmosphere was awesome and our meals delicious. We had oysters ( my husband) and clam chowder, surf & turf and fish and chips.

Ordered a burger and fries for $20. Definitely overpriced. Ordered it medium rare and it came rare. The burger was tasty but I felt too much melted cheese that spilled all over the place. The french fries were not good quality. Many of them too hard to eat. In addition, many old fries were found under several tables from previous guests. The bathroom sink drain did not work. Need to call a plumber. Water was served warm.

Phenomenal menu, great service, And a great atmosphere. Execution could be better tho. Cornbread was a little dry, the duck was overcooked, and my drink a little watery. Overall brine is a breath of fresh air in the nbpt restaurant scene for its creative dishes and unique menu, but quality seems to be hit or miss.

Had a really nice anniversary dinner here. Excellent food and service—the tuna tartar and pork belly were especially good. Didn’t love that there were tvs above the bar, but the rest of the interior design was lovely.

Have been here twice. First time friend and I spent $100 and were still starving after. Second time I ordered a dozen oysters at the bar, my bf was going to order a dozen as well but the bartender walked off before he could order. There are much better places in the area for seafood.
