We happened upon this restaurant while investigating breweries to visit on trip up New Jersey. We booked the Noble Mushroom dinner event which is part of the Meet the Makers series.

I would like to start off by saying everyone working here that we encountered were great. Friendly and kind. Our place was clean and decorated elegantly. Came in for a last-minute getaway with the wife and I had an overall good experience.

All around amazing experience. The restaurant and the grounds are beautiful. The food was delicious and service was great. The scallop special with corn fritters was exquisite. The bone marrow small plate was not small at all and came with lots of meat added in addition to 2 huge bone with rich marrow. The squash pirogies with pork may have been our favorite. The pulled pork over the Latke was good but the latke would have been much better crispy and fried like the corn fritters with the tasty pulled pork on the side so the latke didnt get soggy. The blueberry vanilla drink I ordered with the local spirits came looking like it was half a drink which was disappointing and lead to me only getting one drink, but it tasted great nonetheless. My mom got an espresso martini that was good and they didn’t skimp on that one. We took a break during our meal and walked around the beautiful grounds which was a highlight and cherry on top of a wonderful meal. We will be back and highly recommend you come here too.

The outdoor patio is beautiful and service was excellent. Just the kind of atmosphere you’re looking for on a summer evening. The cocktails were well crafted! While we liked our main dishes, we thought both could use a little more flavor. The lamb was was cooked well, but we thought it was lacking a punch of flavor. The dish felt more complete by adding their roasted red pepper/honey spread (that was served with the bread as an app) on top the lamb latkes. The rigatoni and meatballs were also decent, however I expected more of a developed sauce. The toasted parmesan on top really added a nice element.

This place is PHENOMENAL! Went for a friends birthday and everything we ordered was so fresh and delicious. The vibe is great inside, cool little atmosphere! Highly recommend the T-bone steak, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

The best spot to enjoy nice summer weather and delicious food! We adore this place. Everything that comes to your table is fresh and tastes incredible. The people here are extraordinary nice and carrying (special thanks to Joe and all the staff who came and greet us and our dog). If the weather is nice – try to get outside table in the patio to enjoy the green leaves and flowers.

To start the only reason I’m giving two stars is because of a pretty good history of meals here

Great food, better than most of the fine dining in the Princeton area. The usually have a good vegan and vegetarian option. The house made veggie burger is very good but they serve it on brioche and have no vegan bun option, which seems like it would be easy to offer something but they don’t currently.

We lucked into their first “community night”, a new Tuesday night special. Whole fried chicken with two sides and a bottle of GOOD wine for $80. Not only was the food delicious and service from Dan excellent, the tavern is charming with stone interior walls, rustic tables, and bench seating covered with cowhide (there is also chair seating). The food was served fresh and delicious and the whole chicken served family style. Sides at our table (party of four / two chickens) were roasted crispy Brussels sprouts, crispy potato wedges, baked beans with a lot of pork (served cold, tho), and jalapeños corn bread which tasted of jalapeños but was not hot spice-wise. Great dinner and WHAT A DEAL! If you like fried chicken go on Tuesdays!

My husband and I recently had our wedding lunch/reception here and I could not say enough about the people and the place. Jason the event coordinator is super nice and attentive. Sam the manager was there the day of the event and he and our amazing server were beyond helpful and accommodating to every request. The wine cellar was gorgeous, we had 18 people seated at one long table and was a little snug. I would recommend the library or the living room for any group more than 15. They piped in our play list which was super nice. The food was outstanding and so much of it. The drinks and wine were delicious and everyone loved them. I highly recommend this beautiful venue for your parties. Thank you to everyone for making our special day so memorable.
