This diner/apothecary is super cute and charming! We were a party of four for Sunday brunch and we were seated immediately at 10:20am. Candy waited on us and she was super kind and accommodating. We ordered four meals and split them between the four of us. We got the breakfast patty melt, fried chicken biscuit, French toast, and an omelette! Everything was delicious but the patty melt and the fried chicken biscuit with the hot honey really stood out! The breakfast potatoes are a MUST and the patty melt is better if you dip it in mayo! If you want coffee, stick to the hot coffee with cream and sugar. I tried the cold brew and it tasted like watered down coffee. They make it with a premade mixture instead of making the cold brew themselves so I’m not sure how much that had to do with it, but it wasn’t very good. The atmosphere of this place is super cute too, so I would definitely check it out!

Really enjoyed this place. Would have been 5 stars across the board of portions had been a bit bigger, burger tasted great just a bit small. Excellent onion rings but only got 4. Burger grilled bun, excellent touch. Very old school. Tasty. Atmosphere very nostalgic, brought back old memories. The hot fudge sundae was all around good. Great big glass bowl and tasty. Really enjoyed this place. Check them out.

I had a very good experience and I loved the look of the restaurant. I didn’t try any food but i did get a vanilla milkshake and it was the best milkshake I have ever had. This is an iconic spot and a must go to if you’re in the area.

Americana experience with great food and service. The atmosphere is nostalgic – the chicken and pimento salad on greens, with honey mustard dressing and chips, was superb. The server was kind, courteous, and very quick – what more could you ask for ?

Food and drinks all came out quickly. Husband and I split the club, the kitchen kindly plated the entree onto two plates without us asking. A unique and affordable place to eat if passing thru Jackson.

I was visiting my parents in Jackson and looked up cool places to eat and was really excited to visit this place. Came out very disappointed. First, the furniture is all broken down. We sat in a booth and both chairs were broken. I almost fell back when I sat because the chair was not attached to the wooden part. The table was wobbling all around and our coffee and drinks was spilling every time we moved even a little bit. So the place could use some structural TLC. I get that it’s an old building and that’s the whole point of the experience but there’s a difference between old fashioned and run down.( The place has some cool history to it though and the Apothecary cocktail bar speak easy looks very cool but it was closed when we went!) We waited around 50 minutes for our food and our kids just became very impatient after a while. We totally know that everything is short staffed these days but the place wasn’t even that packed and there was a lot of staff walking around and in the kitchen. We’d hoped at least the wait would be worth it but the food was not good. Everything was very greasy and cold and just not good. I get that it’s diner style food but I’ve had some good diner food! We were excited to try the milkshakes but after waiting that long for food we decided to skip the milkshakes after we were done eating. I don’t recommend this place at all. It was cool to show the kids an old fashioned soda fountain place, and the place definitely has potential but not worth the money we spent. I’d say skip it.

This place is a true gem. It’s getting harder and harder to find old diners and soda stores and apothecary’s and this place is a combination of all 3! The bar stools are original and from 1946, little piece of history- when it was built it was the largest shopping building in the state. It was really neat that they had old artifacts and medicines on display in the original bottles and packaging. We had an omelette with ham and cheddar along with every type of veggie in it, and a cheeseburger and fries. Both were fantastic. We had a root beer float and an ice cream Sundae with extra of their homemade whipped cream and it was even better than the fudge. Service was great, we were waited on by an enthusiastic young local waitress who had only been there 3 weeks. This is one of those must visit places in Jackson. We would definitely come back!

It was pretty cool getting to eat in such an iconic place. It was as busy as I expected but we were seated fairly quickly. The food is what you’d expect from a great diner, excellent. Great atmosphere and decor. Only “negative” was that the chicken on my biscuit was kind of puny.

We had a great time and wonderful service but it was filthy. The floors looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bathrooms had so much gunk build up in the corners. I’m assuming this has something to do with the shared bathrooms of the speakeasy but the restaurant needs a deep cleaning in a big way.
