What a wonderful meal in an inviting, intimate environment. This downstairs restaurant has a speakeasy decorative vibe; soft lighting, unique decorations. The margarita pizza is a must have! The grilled salmon was a delicious, generous portion. The pasta with lamb ragu was super tasty. The pasta with mushroom sauce was very good, too, but the sauce was a little on the heavy side for me. (I would have liked it a little creamier, but it was very flavorful.)

Everything was so delicious!! The spiciness of the sausage on the pizza gave it a nice kick! The meatballs melted in your mouth. The sourdough bread had the perfect crunchy crust, but was so soft & fluffy inside. The ambiance was amazing too! What an awesome place to dine!! Highly recommended!

The rooftop is gorgeous and food amazing. I recently traveled to Italy but I could easily stay in New York for some authentic Italian pizza because it was one of the best I’d ever had. Decorum is beautiful and staff amazing. Our server was Sarah and she was delightful. Definitely coming back for more…

We were nearby and were looking for Italian places to get dinner. I ended up ordering the casarecce bolognese and it was quite delicious. For my preference, I wanted more kick to it so I added some red pepper flakes to it. My only gripe is that they hadn’t provided more bread. There isn’t a physical desert menu but looks like they do provide some options there.

There are Italian restaurants everywhere, but this place has some items on the menu that sets it apart. I was there with a group of 6 people, so we got to try a variety of items. The salad with hearts of palm was light, crispy, and fresh. The grilled octopus appetizer was grilled perfectly and had a nice flavor, even though the smaller pieces were over cooked. We tried their pizza, linguini, chicken parm, and pappardelle. Everyone was pleased with their dish. My dish was the pappardelle, and I can vouch for how delicious it was; the lamb was nicely cooked and not chewy and the sauce was light and not overly heavy. There were thin slices of garlic in the dish, well cooked and blending with the flavor palette. We also got a couple bottles of the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo wine, which somehow paired nicely with everything! We were also treated to a taste of a delightful dessert wine at the end of our meals. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyed meal and visit! I would recommend this for couples, families, children. There’s something here for everyone! One thing to note, unfortunately, is that, if you have trouble walking or with stairs, it will be hard to use their restroom, which is two flights down.

Atmosphere was good. Services was good. The reason why I’m putting a 3.5 is purely based on taste. Steak was asked for medium rare and mediums. They came and became either medium well or well done. Fries was not crunchy and very plain. Steak was very plain. The scallops thou was a bit better. Would suggest adding your own salt if you order for steak. Meatball was fine but nothing too surprising. dessert was the best part. This was gonna be a 3 star but the dessert elevated it. Mmm I give it a 4 for the tiramisu. Everything else mehh. Pizza was okay.

I came here for an anniversary date and was please the atmosphere was romantic and cozy. My recommendation would be the “Tagliatelle Nero”, the Squid ink pasta! It is the best tasting pasta I had. The seasoning was prefect! I can eat this with just the sauce.

We ended up here after we were racially profiled and were refused service by the next door (dos caminos). Bread and Tulip is beyond amazing! Ambiance and food was great! The server was the nicest person i have met all year! Very respectful and professional. After we told him about our night, he felt terrible about it and brought us shots and said it is on me. He made our night with such simple and small act! I’d recommend their fettuccine!

This was my second meal at Bread and Tulips. The first was in 2017 and my son and I have raved abut it ever since. This time we returned on his 19th birthday along with the rest of our family. everything from the salads to the wine (an excellent Sicilian red) to the tiramisu was perfect. Thank you so much to all who made this a memorable and lovely meal. We’ll be back!

I was yesterday here for an aperitivo and I have to say that the place is really nice. The bar has a good selection of drinks and wine. We had a very good wine from Chile. Also, they have good brick oven pizza. We will look into this for dinner for another occasion.
