First Georgian food experience. As soon as you step into the restaurant you are greeted with the scent of fresh baked bread. The atmosphere it just pleasantly relaxing in overall with the soft Georgian music in the background and the dimmed lights. The food was great with everything arriving very quick to our table. The bread was great, nice crunch on the outside with a soft inside. The Chanakhi was incredibly good, you could taste every component in every bite, and they all paired flawlessly with the right amount of spices. The Chakapuli was also good but we personally enjoyed the Chanakhi more. The coffee was delicious and was nicely brewed.

Amazing restaurant. The Lamb Lula Kebob was outrageous- juicy and fully of flavor! Breads were so delicious we ordered more to bring home. The staff was friendly and informative and went above and beyond. We loved the atmosphere and felt like we were enjoying a home cooked meal. Can’t wait to come back already!

The Bread House is a beautiful and authentic Georgian restaurant with a friendly staff. They served up all types of traditional dishes so we ordered their Khinkali a traditional Georgian dumpling that was soft and slightly chewy, while the filling is savory and flavorful. As for our favorite dish Khachapuri aka their Cheese Bread had melted cheese that was gooey, rich, and creamy in soft, pillowy bread. If you are a cheese lover you’ll enjoy this delicious dish. Another traditional dish we ordered was the Pkhali Trio with Eggplant. The vegetables were finely chopped that are mixed with ground nuts, herbs, and spices to create a flavorful spread that went well with the Georgian bread. The Eggplant pkhali, in particular, had a rich and slightly smoky flavor. We couldn’t leave without getting the Georgian pastry called Kada. It was delicious! Made with layers of thin, flaky dough and a sweet filling and nuts. Kada is a popular dessert in Georgia, We can see why.

Best Georgian food in New Jersey. A family run place with delicious home made favorites from Georgia including khinkali dumplings as well as amazing chashushuli and perhaps the favorite, the ajaruli kachapuri.

A gem in a nondescript strip mall off Rt 9. Cozy little cafe tucked away in the corner.

Talk about a hidden gem! This non-assuming bakery has an amazing restaurant on the premise that serves a variety of Georgian dishes. Georgian you ask? Yes, from Georgia, the country on the border of Asia and Europe. If you’re not familiar with their cuisine, I highly recommend giving various dishes a try. Their beef stew, served sizzling on a hot platter, as well as their chicken in walnut sauce (cold appetizer) were absolutely amazing, as were their red beans in a dough crust. I haven’t learned the names of all their dishes yet but I’ll be sure to go back very soon and try a few more appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Oh and they have delicious bread too! Service was wonderful and both the place and the food have a great homely atmosphere.
