I don’t know what it is with so many burger places and their insistence on adding some sort of sauce, especially “special” sauces, to their burgers without making it clear to the customer what it is or that it’s going on your burger, but I hate it. Menu just says “cheese burger deluxe” or something with no indication that it includes sauce. Not everyone likes sauce, especially not whatever “special” sauce they make.

I visited the Bread & Circus food truck at an event in Marymoor Park. Prices were high (not sure if that was normal or event pricing) and I wasn’t super impressed with the food. I got a burger, side of fries, and a can of soda. The fries were great! The burger was perfectly cooked but lacked any flavor. All I could taste was the potato bun. Maybe mine was a one-off and the burger missed getting seasoned? Either way, not sure I’d spend $23 again on this meal if other options were available.

We ate gnocchi and a 20 piece chicken tenders side orders. The gnocchi had WAY TOO MUCH garlic, and we like garlic, that came with a pasta sauce for dipping. We gave it a try and tossed it. The chicken tenders were overcooked, dried out and terribly salty.

Today, I got to have the Circus Burger at an event sponsored at work and it was divine! I’m not really a burger fan because I find most patties have a charred/gas flavor to them, not to mention some burgers tend to be dry… but not this one!
