This steakhouse just off I95 exit 72 in Dunn, NC combines small town charm with elegance. The staff was very friendly and professional. My steak was cooked perfectly as was the prime rib. Both are excellent. The prices are moderately high but worth it. The Brass Lantern is wheelchair friendly and has a private dining room if requested. No reservations necessary for general seating. Call for details regarding other amenities.

I have driven by this restaurant for many years, seen the billboards advertising their prime rib, tonight was the night to try and oh boy am I glad we did. The bread they bring out almost when you’re seated was hot and soft. The salad bar was fresh, clean and many options. The prime rib was almost fork tender, the addition of horseradish was spot on, the twice backed stuffed potato was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

New to NC and found Brass Lantern on my drive into Dunn to pick up a rental and couldn’t wait to try it. I was told by someone if we wanted try it we’d better hurry because unfortunately it will not be there much longer due to the I95 expansion. WHAT A SHAME! This place is absolutely amazing and wonderful service and food. The place is upscale as well with the fine dining setting. My husband and I were very impressed and the price was not expensive either for the quality. I truly hope the owners find a new location to move to, definitely worth the out of county drive it takes for us to get there. Definitely go while you can or you will truly miss out on this experience.

Very nice place. The food was pretty good, my hamburger steak was a little dry but overall pretty good, but that stuffed potatoe was so yummy. Our server Sarah was amazing, one of the best servers I’ve ever had!! Just a down to earth sweet girl and very attentive, don’t know what they are paying her, but it needs to be doubled. She was extraordinary!

Really nice atmosphere and good food. There is a good choice of entrees. The salad bar is full of fresh, crisp goodies, breads and fruit. Never disappointed with the Prime Rib or the grilled Pork Chops. Reasonably priced and wait staff is friendly.

I was staying at the Fairfield Inn right next door. It was very convenient. My meal was fantastic. I ordered the ribs and they were cooked perfectly. The meat just fell off the bone. Dawn was my server. She did a fabulous job. She was very personable and attentive. If you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed with the Brass Lantern. Next time I will try to prime rib. I hear it is the best in the area. Keep up the good work.

Salad bar is decent. Prime rib was good. However our waitress Dawn was not very intuitive. I asked for a loaded baked potato no chives (my husband ordered a twice baked potato) and she brought me a twice baked potato too. When she set my plate down I asked her if it was a twice baked potato and she said “yes they both are” and walked away. Didn’t get a chance to tell her mine was wrong. And me asking the question should have made it obvious I was questioning my food and she should have asked if that was correct. But no, she didn’t. I tried it since I was stuck with it and it was dry and loaded with chives. My husband tried his and said it tasted like sour cream and onion potato chips. They serve bread at the beginning however they have margarine instead of butter. $57.00 later for two people we were way underwhelmed. We were passing tthrough however I can tell you I would NEVER eat here again!!
