Full disclosure that I only ate appetizers here. While everything was good, nothing was excellent. I got The Doe mock tail and it was underwhelming. Not because it was a mock tail, I’ve had great ones, but because it was just meh. It had pineapple juice, blueberry juice, and soda water. For $7 I wouldn’t order again. We split the crispy Brussel sprouts, pretzel sticks, and Parmesan fries for appetizers. Per other reviews, the Brussel sprouts were phenomenal and are why this is a 4 star not 3 star review. The pretzel sticks were good but very greasy. When I pulled them apart you could see the grease/butter slide off. The Parmesan fries are nothing to write home about and I wouldn’t order them again (especially after experiencing the Parm fries at Biebs and Ash in Goshen). My friend ordered the pesto pasta and she liked it so if I had to recommend an entree it would be that. The patio is very nice outside. However, we were getting eaten alive by bugs. That’s not necessarily the restaurants fault but something that I wanted to mention. I did not try the beers or any cocktails so perhaps this place makes up for itself there. Overall, I wouldn’t be opposed to going here again but I won’t go out of my way to come here.

We walked in at 4:45pm on a Saturday. There were four employees near the front door and all of them were surprised to see customers.

Great place to visit. All the beers are very solid with the Saison being the favorite. The corned beef reuben was very tender and delicious. The kids got chicken fingers which were also very good. Nice outdoor patio and the staff was very friendly.

Stopped in on our way through the area and was blown away by the friendliness of the staff (Jordan), the amazing food and the variety of Brews! Great experience, fair prices and welcoming atmosphere – would definitely come again when in the area!

I’m a chef who travels for work and frequently visit Elkhart. Stopped here at 5pm on a Monday. Had the Pork/Elk Chili Nachos and a Nashville Chicken sandwich and diet coke. $33.17 before tax & tip.

We just went to The Brass Elk for their first brunch service, everything was very delicious and cooked perfectly! My kids had the loaded waffles with fresh fruit and a tri-berry syrup which they loved! I had a mimosa and the fried chicken and waffles with a lite sriracha maple syrup! The chicken was cooked perfectly, very juicy with a awesome crunch on the batter! Would recommend The Brass Elk to everyone for brunch, lunch, dinner, or just to go out and have a few fresh drinks or in house crafted and brewed beer! Great family atmosphere!

Beer was good, waitress was very nice. The food was a bit lack luster and overpriced for what I got. I ordered the imperial burger. The fries were soggy

All styles of beer were really good, after running a couple of flight boards. Pils/Lagers were true, westy IPA was a lovely IPA. Origin beers were true to style as well. After reading some of the low star reviews, Brass Elk should serve some wine with their cheese for some customers. The open kitchen with music blaring was pretty cool and we dug the style of it. Maybe for the whiners, throw some ear plugs in for next visit.
