One good thing we have in Utah is the plethora of Mexican restaurants. So unfortunately the only reason I am not giving this place a five star is that it doesn’t quite reach the level of flavor as some of the other places I have tried. Their food is good and some of the meat have a very nice smokey flavor. The portion sizes are quite large with all the fixings. The salsa bar had a nice selection of heats some of them quite hot ( I have a pretty good spice tolerance if that means anything). It is definitely worth trying once I can see it being other people’s favorite place!

I ate there last week with a friend and had the birria, which was decently good and a big enough portion to share. Went back today and ordered chicken enchiladas and I couldn’t even take more than two bites. The food didn’t even qualify as luke-warm, the cheese that should have been melted was still in cold shreds and the enchilada sauce was room temp. There were only two other parties seated and they had plenty of time to make the food properly. I won’t ever go back.

Amazing food in an amazing new location. This restaurant used to be located over by the old dollar movie theater. It is now located next to the UPS store and Fast Signs, just west of McDonald’s.

Multiple people told me this place was good, so I went here with a friend and the food was TERRIBLE! The steak on the tacos and fries was nasty. The pork on my friend’s taco was BURNT! And the shrimp and al pastor tacos I hadn’t weren’t good either. The salsa was the only thing that was descent. I don’t know how this place has good ratings. I don’t know if the cook was having a bad day or not, but I would warn you to stay away from this place! I was so disappointed. I was told this place had good authentic Mexican food, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. And that is saying something.

I absolutely love Brasas! Their sauces are perfected along with the marinade and meats. It is amazing!!! I have NEVER been disappointed with my food or service! The cooks know me! Hahaha! I will forever keep coming here! There fish tacos and shrimp tacos are some of the best ever ever found!!! Best street tacos I’ve found yet!!!

Absolutely Phenomenal. The exterior doesn’t do it justice (looks a bit sketchy) but the interior is super cute and very very clean.

I brought my family here from Arizona and they loved it! It beats any other Mexican food we have eaten. We ate the Specialty Tacos (Locos Tacos), steak burrito, steak chimichanga, and a chicken and steak taco. We were impressed with the meat and how they marinade/season the meats. We will come again for sure!!

The North Park Plaza has a couple of restaurants that you don’t want to miss and Brasas is definitely one of them. If you don’t have the time to drive through South Provo traffic to the OG Brasas location, don’t worry! This location is right off BYU campus and they’ll take good care of you. Brasas is a great balance between a nice sit-down dinner and a fast-casual lunch. My friend and I were able to sneak in right before the lunch rush on a Friday and I was absolutely shocked at how fast they prepared our food. We sat down to eat and we were still in and out the door in under 20 minutes!

Best Street Mexican food you’ll find in all of Utah. A little pricey, but there’s really nothing like it anywhere else in the area. Highly recommend the Aztec fries and Tijuana Burrito.

We love the Brasas Grill in downtown Provo and were excited that they opened this indoor location, but twice we have been very disappointed. The first time we went to this Brasas location, a few months ago, we ordered sopes. The masa was raw, tough, and inedible. Hoping it was a fluke, we went last week. I ordered a chili relleno and my husband courageously tried the sopes again. My chili relleno was awful. It’s hard to mess up a chili relleno, but they managed it. The breading was like dry leather, and the chili pepper was not fresh. My husband’s sope was once again uncooked and it also had some kind of weird butane taste that made it completely inedible. After two bites he gave up. We left our full plates uneaten and we won’t be returning.
