Once you enter the store, the friendly faces are there welcoming you. We ordered the barbecue salad with turkey and it was delicious. We also ordered the Chili Dog and the Slaw Dog. Both dogs were tasty, but the actual hot dogs were salty.

This was a great stop in downtown Covington right as it opened. You know you’re entering a quality bbq store with it uncomplicated menu of meats and sides, simple tables and homemade sauces. We were promptly served once in line, and our food (pulled chicken and half rack) came out in about 10 mins. They have beer here too. We loved the smoked chicken and flavorful ribs. Not fall off the bone but with that right amount of tug as the meat comes away from the bone. We found them to be nicely seasoned and the three quite different sauces added extra depth. The sauces were mild, hot and sweet and were all mustard like in flavor. We tried the Brunswick Stew too with its rich bean and chicken flavor. Bradley, the owner, serves the local Rotary Club weekly and also offers catering for this long-established family business. He was great to chat with and has clearly made a good following for those who enjoy classic bbq done right. Recommended.

This “Chili Dog” gets 0 stars. It was not good at all; this was a waste of my money. The bun was soggy (as if dipped in water) I’m assuming because of the Chili; I was like a kid taking it from the bun and just eating the meat. And the Hot Dog meat was salty. I will never order this again. I’ll just stick to their Ribs.

Bbq ribs were good. Def pit smoked. However service was awful.. Took us over 30 min to get our food. Ribs were supposed to be fresh off the grill so should have been fast. They did try to make it right by giving us some somewhat stale pound cake. I would go back again.. In hopes of better service.

I’m new to the community. Boss orig brought me here months ago. It’s now a regular lunch stop. Owners are present and staff is friendly. Best burger I’ve found in Covington…all hand pressed! BBQ menu is delicious and the smoked chicken salad is only made every other Wednesday…also the smoked Turkey sandwich is still less than $6 w/tax!
