A bit pricey but the food is worth it. Best BBQ I’ve had in San Diego. Baked beans smothered in molasses, ribs, chicken, and brisket cooked to perfection with amazing sauce. And the best macaroni salad anywhere. They don’t offer pulled pork. Street parking only in the neighborhood, outdoor seating only during pandemic. Don’t expect much atmosphere with the jets approaching the airport overhead every 2 minutes.

Was watching a local YouTuber and they recommended this place, and I’m so glad we went here to try it out. It was DELICIOUS! Ordered the sampler platter with brisket, ribs, and sausage with sides of mac n cheese and coleslaw. Everything was delicious!! The coleslaw had a spice to it that was so good. Mac n cheese was on point. The ribs were nice and tender. Friendly staff and loved the vibes, very chill. The sampler platter was perfect to share between 2 people.

Holy Grail! This place is AMAZING. The food and atmosphere are equally delicious. Don’t let the exterior stop you. Once you enter, you’ll understand. The bbq is off the chains. The mac, baked beans, collard green, coleslaw, ribs, brisket, and cornbread are EPIC. My new go-to. Bbq in SD? Apparently, YES.

Great bbq, staff was happy and friendly, atmosphere was exactly what you picture when you think Saturday afternoon bbq get together. The area it’s in didn’t look the greatest but who am I to judge? I’m not from San Diego so I don’t know. That’s just my first impression, but overall I enjoyed it a lot.

Kenny “Bowlegs”, owner of Bowlegged BBQ was a fantastic host. His staff was efficient and quick. Only 11 minutes from the airport, my husband and I drove straight to his restaurant with only minutes to spare. Not only were warmly greeted, he served us great baby back ribs, potato salad and collard greens. In the rear of his restaurant, it has a cigar lounge, tables with tents and gazebos for shade. The atmosphere was comforting and pleasant. Great place to hang out, enjoy music and sports, as it is a neighborhood staple. Reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere food and ambiance. The new cigar lounge is impressive and a great addition to the awesome vibe in the main dining outdoor area. With all this the barbecue is the best in San Diego county! I would highly recommend for singles, families locals and tourist.
