I recently came here after seeing a movie in Boston Common and had an excellent dinner! Overall, all of the food we had was delicious. I got the sesame crusted tuna which was some of the best tuna I’ve had. Very flavorful and I loved the pea wasabi that came with it. My friend got just a steak with truffle butter that was perfectly seasoned and delicious. I also enjoyed the strawberry salad—it was more of a unique salad you wouldn’t find at every restaurant that had a nice vinaigrette and some goat cheese. For dessert, we got the warm chocolate cake and skillet cookie. I enjoyed both, but for the price and size, I probably wouldn’t get them again.

I went with a medium sized party and we definitely racked up quite the bill. I think others had some issues with their food – steaks not cooked to requested doneness and fries were too salty. That said, I actually really enjoyed my Steak Frites and the pork buns. For a steakhouse, in Boston, in this price range, you get what you pay for – decent across the board. If you want better food, you are going to spend more for sure. Sorry I was too hungry to take more pictures!

I dined at Boston Chops Downtown on March 21 and 23. The Bavette steak is one of the most tender steaks I have ever experienced. The “small” order of popovers is enough for 4 people. Stellar service from the front desk to the people clearing away the plates to the servers to the server who travels the room with a stainless bowl of fries, asking people if they want refills.

First time ever coming here. The place was and stayed pretty empty from 5:30pm to about 9pm when I left.

This is my number one favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is divine. It’s expensive though, so not an everyday thing!

Great service except for the server who questioned us when we shared that the steak ordered rare came medium well. She asked if we could cut it open so she could check, except that the steak was already cut down the middle… then asked what we’d like you do about it?

We did not have a reservation, however, We were lucky enough to dine at the bar & have Kiko serve Us. The food was Wonderful. I’m a lamb lover & very critical, but this was perfection! Loved it. The filet was cooked to perfection as well & both dishes were paired well. I’d also like to add that our bartender/server gave us quite a few tips as travelers that we followed through on & we were very impressed! We will return!! 5 stars from the 315 area!

One of the better steaks I’ve ever had. The wagu Bavette was to die for. Drinks were fantastic and French onion soup as well.

Worst service I’ve ever had. No water refills. Bought a bottle of wine. No refills. Bought a steak no check backs. GM walked right by our table even though we were check #3. Worst experience in Boston by far. Food was great.
