I’ve heard mixed reviews about the bbq so I figured I would play it safe with a standard grilled chicken sandwich. 3 people in our group did the same, and we all said it was the worst chicken sandwich we have ever had. Dry, chewy, bland, and they used tenders instead of a breast. How do you screw up a chicken sandwich?

We have eaten there once a year for the last 5 years. The food was great, but not this time! Food was gross. Not the same people running the place and we threw 40 dollars worth of ribs away. The ribs were baked, not smoked, macaroni taste like glue, rolls stale, fries were cooked in old grease and you could taste it. It is clearly not the same owners

I may be biased since this place is right up the road from my house but I love it here. I get the same thing every time I go here and it’s always amazing. Their shrimp dinner is perfect, and my boyfriend loves their sandwiches! Such a nice environment to eat in with such nice people.

OUTSTANDING BBQ place! I try something different each time and always love the food!!!!! They are fast and efficient. Very clean. Very family friendly. They have very good specials as far as food and pricing, too. One of my favorite places to eat around here!!!! Great service. Super organized restaurant! Be sure to go there!

If you are looking for an old fashion burdger dive, this is it! I echo another review that it’s nothing fancy, but it is delicious! My husband had a shrimp poboy and it was full of shrimp. I have been looking for a place that could make a southern-style cheeseburger as good as my favorite place back home in Hickory closed. I FOUND IT! The burger was cooked just right, the chili was hearty, and the slaw was fresh with just the right tang. I have seen this place for years and wanted to stop in, but I never passed it when I was hungry. Now, I will go out of my way to go! Highly recommend!

Nothing too fancy, but everything I expect from a good BBQ joint. The Que had good flavor and there were plenty of sauce choices on the table. The service was fast and friendly. I hope to enjoy Boss Hog again soon!

Honestly, this place has good food but could care less about having/keeping your business. They act like they are inconvenienced to even be open, which depending on the time of year, they may not be. Its not easy to be their customer, most times they don’t answer their phone or tell you an hour for a to go order. I usually just have to go in person and wait for my order. Its just clear they don’t care if you patronize them or not. If people had more options on this side of the lake they would struggle to stay in business.
