Sunday is always busy and full of good vibes at Point Ruston. During our family walk we were going to stop by the ice cream spot the line was ridiculous and somebody threw something absolutely foul in the trashcan and I couldn’t bear to smell it and stay in line.

No MSG No Garlic Foodie
This place is a life-saver. After 14 days of deep fried fish and chips, we’re ready to give up on dinner just to give our stomachs are break. Right across the street from the Silver Cloud Hotel, this place had plenty of seating and was mostly empty outside. We don’t normally have Thai food due to the aggressive curries, but this place seems to have a diverse menu, so we decided to try it. We ordered Vegan Fresh Rolls which is more of a Vietnamese dish, Chicken Satay and stir-fried vegetables with chicken. The chicken satay comes with a sauce on top plus peanut butter sauce on the side. The two sauces combined gave the satays extra dimension. We enjoyed them so much we ordered another one. The stir-fried vegetables dish was just what we needed to neutralize the deep fried stuff. We were very glad we decided to try this place. We would not have been able to handle the high-energy and noisy restaurant at the Silver Cloud.

Came here for a lunch date on a Saturday a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful sunny day, so there were lots of people out and about. Fortunately, my date and I had the entire bar area to ourselves as we dined; made us feel like we rented the whole joint out!

Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Ordered Vegan and would recommend: Yellow curry + Brown rice and Pad Thai + a side of Peanut sauce, to add to taste. The decor inside was also very upscale and inviting.

The service was okay, I was very unimpressed with the food. Our Calamari was very odd and did not taste good at all. The Crispy Garlic Chicken was very overcooked, way too sweet, and had no garlic flavor. I was hoping this place would be better especially for the price.

A bit pricey, but the duck curry was out of this world, hands down the best duck curry I’ve tasted. Crispy skin, yet tender juicy meat and a good portion for two to share. Great spot in the heart of Point Ruston. The ambiance is nice and relaxing and the decor is authentic Thai. Love that they also broadcast a chef that shares the process behind their dishes.

Had lunch here with some friends from out of state. Service was prompt and professional. My companions said their food was good but the papaya salad was not what was expected with papaya noodles, not fresh papaya, and a bit of a sour kraut taste. My crispy chicken was low on chicken and high on a batter that was very tough and chewy. I was disappointed and was only able to eat a little more than half because it was so hard to chew. Left a bit hungry.

This is without a doubt one of the best new restaurants I’ve tried. Great ambiance (very stylish but also chic & comfortable, so it works for a variety of occasions) and the staff is AMAZING – they have great energy and tons of insight into the menu, which is so helpful. The cocktails are outstanding and the food is to DIE for. I am gluten free & vegan, and they not only had marked items on the menu to help guide dietary needs, but they were great at providing recommendations or insights on what else could work for me! I had an incredible appetizer & entree – the details were immaculate (presentation, flavors, etc). My friend eats everything, but is hard to “wow” with good food, and she was loving everything she got as well! It is one of those places where you want to try everything and I can’t wait to go back. 10/10 would recommend on all fronts!!
