My family has been coming to this place for many years, but far less recently. The catfish here is very inconsistent. There are days I’d easily give it 5 stars: it’s freshly cooked, juicy, delicious, and with the perfect balance of meat and breading. Other days, it tasted very much like the catfish is leftover and being reheated. It’s exactly like when we bring home leftovers and heat them again in the microwave after they’ve dried out. The meat is tough and dry, the breading not hot like it is when fresh and crispy, and the overall presentation of the catfish strips are withered and shriveled like they were recooked after being heated and cooled previously. Sometimes this place has some of the best catfish around and others is so dry and bad that it’s hard to eat because of this. Used to always be good, never had bad catfish from here years ago, but things have changed and now it’s always a roll of the dice. Hope they return to their old consistency and quality. If so I’ll update this review.

While visiting my sister I liked the place so much I went there four times! They have awesome Okie food like fried okra, beans with ham, and a fried peach pie with ice cream that’s other-worldly. There’s a reason that the place is busy morning, noon, and night. The servers, like Dinette, make you feel special.

This place is great, really cool decor and amazing food to back it up. We got the 50/50 fried pickles and mushrooms, and they were the best I’ve ever had. Most places you can tell they’re frozen, Boomerangs definately batters them fresh. They also accomodated my vegetarian diet with an amazing veggie omlete. And if theyre making their fresh pocket pie things. GET THEM. I about died at how good they are!

Tread lightly. I’m usually not the type to jump online and write a negative review but last night was a new experience for me. For better or worse I tend to only eat one meal a day. Yesterday morning I placed a Doordash order for The Big Breakfast. Order arrived in a timely manner. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary so I finished the meal and went to sleep shortly after as I’m on a night shift schedule. I woke up in the evening time not feeling well. Gradually my condition worsened and I spent the next over 5 hours simultaneously with vomiting & diarrhea. Seemingly back to normal next morning.

The food was pretty awesome. The prices of the regular food is great! The prices of the appetizers a little much even though you get plenty. We really loved the look of the diner. It was our first time we were not to sure how it all worked. They leave the ticket on the table with codes of what you ordered no prices and you have to go up to pay. Our server came back several times before we ordered and once after we had received our food. She never asked if we ould like to tried that fried pie! So the customer service area could use a bit of work. We were the only ones in there when we first arrived and I noticed food under some tables. So now that the rules are down, you get your food, you have your codes, you go and pay. So enjoy a step back into the 50’s&60’s.

Great environment and the ombiance was awesome. Very few places in this world actually have photos of Lewis Wilson(first on screen batman). The food was really good especially if you like old fashion style burgers. The catfish is really good and the fried pickles where really good. They had lots of really awsome pictures of movies and movie stars from the 40s-50sand 60s.

My and I just moved to Claremore last and wanted to explore some of the restaurants and diners and decided to give the Boomerang a shot. The food is amazing, the servings are pretty large, and the pricing is very reasonable!!! We definitely enjoyed the experience and we’ll likely be dining there on a regular basis.
