We go all over to try different Chicago style and NY pizza places in the area. We were very happy to find this place! STL hasn’t been a great sauce city, however Bono’s sauce reminded me of my Grandmother’s sit all day in the pot sauce. I do prefer a thicker texture, this was a bit loose, but the flavor was amazing! The mozzarella was just the right amount of chew and not too salty. The crust was buttery deliciousness! We added chicken, which was good quality, and onions.

Here is the deal! Customer service is everything. If any business has lacking customer service, they will not survive. I’ve said this before you can have a million dollar meal sitting in front of you, but if the customer service is lacking, that meal is gonna be non-memorable.

Pizza looked great and the mozzarella sticks were fantastic. Got the deep dish with sausage and pepperoni and the sausage was huge chunks and they really weren’t cooked through which I didn’t notice until the second slice so had the unfortunate results of the bathroom due to undercooked food. I also don’t get why the dough in the center was so thin, really made the center of the pizza soupy when all the grease was soaked into it. I dont know if this was just a bad experience but ill be going with blackthorns next time I want a deep dish.

We got here at 11:03 (today) Monday morning and the owner was just arriving. We were invited in and appreciated the small business in it’s entirety. Literally one of the best Cesar salads I’ve ever had in STL. Just the right amount of dressing tossed into a well-blanched romaine lettuce. High quality ingredients and high-quality talents show through the food. Love was expressed in the food and we, in turn, love this place. I recommend salads and the Neapolitan pizza, I was too full to enjoy the Chicago style special but my bf loved it! The sauce is addicting and they use just the right amount of cheese to make it cheesy. We have had a very good experience each and every time we have ordered here. I highly recommend this pizzeria! We left at 12:10- that’s just a little over an hour for two fresh pies. Impressive for just starting the day. Thanks guys! ❤️

Bono’s pizza is ambitious in that it does four (4) styles of pizza and does each of them pretty good. The Chicago style was not how I personally remember Chicago style and didn’t survive the car ride very well. That said, this does seem like a place that you get to know the menu the more times you go. Our eggplant / sausage pie was excellent—they were not sparing in the toppings!

Overall, a quality pizza place. The wings were good too. The service was great too. Prices not too bad either.

We hadn’t gotten food here in a while, and now I remember why–it’s not all that great. We got a large pepperoni and black olive pizza. All I could taste is the sauce, which was pleasingly spicy. I could see the olives. I saw no pepperoni, was it there just chopped up or missing? Not near enough cheese. Blah. We picked it up in a pouring rain storm, so we weren’t going back. It was just eating to provide sustenance, not to enjoy.

After hearing about Bono’s from several different sources, I knew I had to gicomfortable.

Great city style pizza! Crust & sauce are spectacular. We have ordered multiple times now & it’s becoming my favorite pizza. The hot wing pizza is GREAT

Really amazing gluten free pizza! It’s well seasoned, which is for some reason unusual. I love that they offer shrimp as a topping too. It really reminds me of pizzerias when I was a kid!
