BEST BONOS AROUND!!! So no matter if you get them when they open or right before you close the food is ALWAYS on point! The staff is always very funny and truly know how to treat you. I always get the same thing. Pulled Pork Sandwich with two sides. Beans/Fry’s with American Cheese on top. I drive about 30 minutes and pass by more Bono’s but none of them will give me the Service, the amazing food as this location!! Hats off to the staff here!!!! Thanks for always making me feel satisfied!!!!!

Okay, full disclosure: I’ve never actually been to Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q. Heck, I’ve never been to any Bono’s! But if their ribs are half as interesting as the stories I hear from the owner (who’s a total champ, by the way, clocking in 80 hours a week like it’s a light jog), then I’m betting they’re some of the most compelling meats in town. I’ve never worked in the service industry, but the tales from this place are juicier than a well-cooked steak and more binge-worthy than that show you’ve been watching on Netflix. Visit on my behalf and let me know if the food is as epic as the behind-the-scenes stories. I’m banking on it!

We waited 15 to 20 minutes once we sat down and the waitresses passed by us multiple times, looking at us and never said a thing and one couple came in and was immediately sat and had their drink order taken. This is not a failure on the waitresses but the business itself. Hire more staff because 2 people taking order in a full house is insane.

Neptune Beach Bono’s has the BEST PITMASTER!!! HE knows the meaning of “LEAN MEAT”. THANK YOU very much for cutting ALL of the fat from my brisket. That food was so delicious.

Great great great BBQ. The service is always top notch, staff is very pleasant and makes you feel like you’re at home. The menu has all the BBQ needs and make sure you try the banana pudding it’s absolutely amazing. The overall look inside is classic BBQ pit, definitely a southern feel to it. All the meat is smoked to perfection. You won’t be disappointed coming here.

My wife and I have been bringing the kids to this bono’s since it was the old store in Neptune beach. It has always been great food as long as the original pitmaster worked here. I can’t remember his name but he’s an older black gentleman and got the best smile ever! Unfortunately there’s been a few disappointments recently. We ordered outer cut pork chopped and it was nothing but a lump of greasy fat. Very disappointed. Now I have to drive back on my dime and my time and get a whole new pound of replace it. That’s simply not the caliber that I would hope for. Of course I understand things happen so I’m not giving it that low mark but just be aware. If you’re going to order to go. Check out what you got

We had a take-out order! Service was ok, but meat was overcooked! Sandwich appeared to be a little smaller without as much meat! It was just ok! Not cheap though!

I’m not a local. My bf took me here the first night when I was visiting and I asked him to go back a couple of times more. I absolutely loved the food specially the brisket, sweet corn nuggets and fried squash. Out of this world. You have to come to Miami, guys. I love Jax and considering moving up there, so you are on my top places.

Under rated on Google. Great turkey, ribs and brisket. Turkey melts in your mouth. Ribs need no sauce, very tender. Really good brisket. Loved the fried okra. Great wait staff. We’re a fan.
