The food here is good but I feel like it isn’t incredible like a lot of the reviews say. They do have good portion and prices are reasonable especially for SF.

Cute Japanese restaurant with a nice ambiance inside. The Japanese pasta on the menu was what drew us to try this place out. The pasta was delicious. Tried the salmon nabe (hot pot) as well — the broth was delicious but I’d probably have picked the pasta only in hindsight. Overall, would return and come more dishes!

This little corner restaurant is so cozy and cute. We came here on the recommendation from a friend and it was great. The mentaiko pasta and chicken karaage were so good! The yuzunade was also great. Feels like comfy Japanese street food in a local eatery. Excited to try more things later.

bon, nene is an adorable little restaurant in the mission that packs some DELICIOUS flavors into their food. the mentai spaghetti is a must-order; I’ve eaten a lot of mentai pasta dishes in my life and the one here is truly one of the best I’ve had. they keep their flavors simple but rich and it is just such a comfort and joy to eat. the katsu curry was like a warm hug as well! katsu a tad on the dry side; but the curry itself was beautifully hearty and comforting :-). the kushi-age special appetizer had great crispiness; i would say the oyster was the star of the show here.

We ordered karaage, gyudon and curry rice and I was so disappointed with gyudon. Only thin beef pieces with lots of watery sauce so it was meh. I rather get gyudon at Nijia market to be honest. Curry rice and karaage was good.

Rare gem of Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant. This kind of food is everywhere in Japan but so hard to find in the United States.

Yum! I had the Katsu Curry. Really tasty and a nice sized serving. If you’ve never had Japanese curry, def give it a try. Unique flavor and texture from the Indian or Thai style curries.
