Best Indian food I’ve had in the city. Amazing atmosphere and a huge menu all fairly priced. Amazing selection of vegan food, vegetarian food, and normal menu items. Highly recommend for anybody looking for good Indian food, especially if you want something spicy!

Bombay Street Food #2 in Washington DC has truly mastered the art of Indian cuisine, setting itself apart as a standout in the realm of flavors. While I’ve savored exceptional Indian fare along the west coast, Bombay Street Food #2 unquestionably takes the crown.

If you are visiting this place then surely try their Bombay Thali. It was perfect for 2 people. We loved everything about thali. We also ordered gobhi Manchurian which was not that good. It was way too sweet for us. Also, they have 3 branches. You can visit any one of them and menu is same. Will recommend this place to our friends for thali.

Food showed up very quickly, my guess is they prep certain meals ahead of time, as there was not time to actually make it. The Tikka massala was decent, not the best I’ve had but it was tasty. Garlic Naan was similarly good. Main knock is the wait staff were a little unpleasant to me, like they didn’t want me there, which affected my enjoyment of the dinner.

We had supper together. The Manchurian we ordered had extra tomato ketchup which we didn’t tell them. The food’s flavor wasn’t up to par. The beverages didn’t taste nice. Vegetable biryani tasted okay. Nothing stood out. Food in general tasted mediocre. For the price they cost, I would not suggest this restaurant. The encounter wasn’t pleasant.

Pretty tasty food, the wait was a bit long but it was worth it. The chicken Marsala was flavorful, but all of the food was a bit on the spicy side even though we asked for mild. So if you like spicy, then this is the place. The mango lassi was very yummy.

We shared the platter for 2, which had 6 curries and a few different sides. It was so good and fun getting to try lots of the different kinds.

If there is a place you want to add on your list of places to avoid, here is one for sure. Poor ambience, even poorer service and worst of all over spiced food even upon clarification multiple times. Pav bhaji filled with red chilli powder without chopped onions or cilantro (the name should not have Bombay as a part of it), the vegetable kohlapuri sauce loaded with butter and the Malai kofta loaded with red chilli powder as though it was going out of fashion! The only saving grace was a palatable palak Chaat and a fancy beer mug in which the mango lassi was served. Avoid.

Amazing ambience and even better taste. Everything was superb, my new fav spot in DC. The manager was even friendlier too and checkin about the service and share details about the other locations and the founder. Our server was amazing too, added last minute request to our order once we forgot to alter slider remark. Had authentic taste and flavor of all spices. It made our last day in DC worth it.
