Wagyu Burger was amazing, this is not your ordinary burger… Large enough to share, but then again, you may not want to. Faroe island Salmon was succulent. Drinks all on point and our server was so fun. Set in a 150 year old building, the Downstairs is appointed more like an upscale bar while the upstairs deck is fun and has a vacation vibe going on. While the food was not cheap, it was amazing.

I have never been treated so rude in my entire life. When we arrived, they told us they don’t seat parties of 7 which their website says nothing about. My husband and 26 year old son said they would sit on the patio and we ladies could eat inside. They STILL refused to seat us. We will NEVER go back and will spread the word about their rudeness!

The food was great the service was mediocre also the outdoor seating area downstairs is kinda weird you can’t smoke but your outside was kinda why I wanted a table outside. Anyways I’ll try it again the dip was memorable stake bites were done correctly. After paying the waitress ran away and I had to wait to ask for a to go container it’s also a cash only place downstairs is that correct? It was a weird experience but worth going back for the food.

We are regulars!! This is one of our top date night spots and we have been going here since they opened. I am known for getting their salmon or any kind of fish special with extra broccoli on the side. Delicious! My NOW husband(we were Bold’s first engagement) is more fun(a good cook himself) and will try any of Chef Matt’s dishes. That is the reason we started going here. The dishes are different and I often look at my husbands dishes like Woah! Generous portions be prepared to take some home if it is an entree. I am also known for getting a Grey Goose martini with blue cheese olives straight up! No vermouth for me. I have to say best Grey Goose martini! Actual blue cheese stuffed olives filled to the top and chilled perfectly. Husband always gets a corona with lime. Now the atmosphere.. yes it is small but we love that and we love sitting at their bar.. always sit there because we love the staff! Great front windows that let light in on beautiful day and right on the corner of Main Street. They put in an upper deck that is open when the weather is favorable with a great view of downtown Algonquin. I could go on and on about this place. Greg and Matt are clearly passionate about their resturant that they started together and it shows! They keep impressing us with what they come up with. We love to support their business and it will always hold a place as a date night favorite.
