I ordered entrees and got less than one bowl’s worth of food for each. Flavors were mediocre, essentially just soy sauce. Unclear how it’s even Korean food at all, tasted more like white washed generic Asian food. Poor value and taste

Incredibly yummy food and cozy atmosphere with a food court kinda layout. Be sure to try the dumplings and the karaage, those are both very delicious. The honey butter french fries were absolutely amazing, especially when paired with some kimchi!!! The cucumber kimchi packs a punch while the traditional cabbage kimchi is nice and mellow. It seems the place might eventually get a sushi place and bar on the upper floor too, which I’m definitely looking forward to!

We stopped in for lunch and were given food recommendations at the counter. I ordered the medium soy garlic Korean fried chicken and my SO ordered the gochujang fried chicken, we both got orders of the honey butter fries with a total of $12 per meal. The food was very tasty! It was a good amount of food leaving us satisfied but not overly full, and for such a good price. We will be coming back for sure!

Such a great spot for classic Korean dishes and to try things you might not have had before. I loved this spicy chicken bowl. Can’t wait to come back for more! Also, it’s so great that the owner is so excited to share his love of food and recommend things to you as soon as you walk in.

I visited this place on a Saturday night when I was looking for a good chicken restaurant. I met the owner and he was very friendly. I had some great chicken with garlic sauce and dumplings. It was a great experience, cut short due to other plans that night. I definitely aim to return.

First let me say the staff are friendly and helpful with making recommendations. I love authentic Korean food. Have had tons of it over the years. Sad to say this is not it, and really misses the mark. The Bulgogi was over cooked and extremely dry. The pork bun lacked key flavors and fell flat. The bacon thin slice of pork belly was an insult. Again dry, and over cooked. The chef seems to be relying on spicy powder to cover the lack of flavor. The kimchee complete disappointment. Was not the hallmark vibrant redish color from the use of Korean spice paste, lacked the bite from fermentation, and missing the garlic and scallion. Again seems a spice powder was used which gave heat but no flavor. With so many good Korean restaurants in NYC and K-town just a short train ride into Manhattan Bokki really needs to step their game up if they want to be real competitors in NYC’s food market.

DONT do it! I’m not sure if people are given money off their food for a good review, but the reviews didn’t reflect the truth about the chicken. I’ll start by saying the good, the honey butter fries were amazing! Full of flavor, hot, and fresh. For that reason I am giving them two stars. I ordered the honey garlic chicken size medium, the portion was decent. The chicken was cold! Yes cold, not even luke warm as if it was sitting under any type of heat. I sent the order back and the lady taking the order could care less. She nonchalantly walked to the kitchen to tell the cook. He then made a fresh batch. The fresh batch was hot, smelled good, but as I bit into it I was disappointed. The texture was tough and chewy, dark meat chicken. The chicken didn’t even taste like chicken more like 2 day old cheap Chinese food. I spit it out and threw away BOTH batches of chicken. I should’ve known the food was bad as soon as I walked in. It was a large space with only 2 people dining in. It was EMPTY! Go somewhere else if you are looking for good fried chicken. They also had no battle of water! Only soda and liquor.
