Recently tried a Czech restaurant for the first time and loved it! Warm ambiance, friendly staff, and the authentic flavors of dishes like goulash and svíčková were a treat. The attention to detail in presentation and the delicious desserts made the experience even more memorable. A must-visit for anyone looking to explore Czech cuisine

Just like in Prague! Pilsner is poured right. Food is great quality and you’ll find all the traditional Czech dishes on the menu. All that’s missing are the low Czech prices

Hearty meal for a cold February night in New York. The dining area is brightly lit and open, with lots of different Czech memorabilia and photos adorning the walls and ceiling.

If you are ever missing a proper Czech pour of Urquell just like they serve in Plzen then come here! The prices may not be the same but you can’t blame them for that. Highly recommended.

Czech restaurant. Nice unique place with choice of draft beer was hoping that I would enjoy Czech food but food not what I expected. Cucumber salad was more like soup very watery with bland flavor. Duck was very dry and taste like old fat just horrible taste. Service even worst. Server that we had was nice t helpful and attentive at all we seat all night waiting for water and to get our check was forever.

The staff was very welcoming and warm. Service for the food was great. The quality of the food was phenomenal. We ordered pork schnitzel with French fries, duck confit and beef goulash with bread dumplings. Fantastic meal!!!! So impressed!

1. The place looks like: “get me all Pilzner related souvenirs from ebay and put them around here”, add some Czech celebrities photos too, done.

Authentic food and pretty good service. Highly recommend jagerschnitzel, which personally beats the schnitzel and duck confit. The beton cocktail (a twist on gin and tonic) is very good too. Great and whimsical interior with floating vintage furniture. Great for a casual eating experience.

This place is so cool! I’m half Czech, and we rarely get to see our cuisine represented in the US. The menu looked authentic, including the daily specials that pubs in Prague sell according to the days of the week. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, with lots of fun, cultural decor. It got busy quick right after they opened. The waiting staff was efficient but they seemed a little sour. We were served right away, starting off with something I’ve never tried before; what looked like some mystery meat pate with pieces of toast. I was pleasantly surprised; it was steak tartare, and absolutely delicious! The rye toast was warm, sizzling with butter. You could rub it with raw garlic for an extra kick. I never thought that I’d try raw meat, but the tartare was smooth and very flavorful. I had a salad which wasn’t anything special, since some of the vegetables were a bit bitter. I paired it with bread and butter, and the portion was enough for the whole table to share. I overheard that the goulash was super rich and delicious- my native Czech mom agreed. I tried one of the flour dumplings which tasted just like my grandmothers. It was super warm and fluffy. If you want an authentic experience, this is the place to go, although I recommend getting a reservation!
