Went here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner with the lady and had an awesome time. Luckily I had read that there were no markings outside and you have to walk down a hallway to get into the restaurant or else I would’ve been lost lol. This contributes to the restaurants super specific, very cool ambiance. I thought the Mac and cheese was good, I thought the chicken karaage, and the truffle creamed spinach were very good, and the wagyu tartare was great! But the main event was the Miyazaki Wagyu steak. This steak was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Upon eating it my girlfriend turned and reported “This is the best piece of steak I’ve ever had.”

Great place to go but only if you have been before. You need to get someone who’s been to take you.

Amazing service! We walked in for our reservation our waitress worked with us to explore the menu to find things we would like. She would extremely helpful with the options I could eat as a vegetarian. The atmosphere was very midcentury modern, with cozy, & candle lit. I loved the attention to detail and the focus on customers.

One of the finest restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. Very exclusive. You must know someone to even make a reservation. We went with a group of friends for a birthday and was fortunate enough to try many of the dishes there. The food was amazing. We each got the coursed out meals and added a few extra dishes. It came out to be 7 or 8 course meal. We were so stuffed by the end and could barely finish the last few courses. The presentation was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant, it’s definitely worth the experience.

This restaurant provides a secret phone number in order to get a reservation. The restaurant itself is inspired by the Japanese culture from the small space and foods they have as the restaurant is named Bohemian so is the interior design.

The ultimate of speakeasy dining. This venue has special place in my heart as a Warhol and Basquet art lover and foodie for Japanese Waygu and delicacies.

It is always a pleasure to dine there. Not a perfect score because they overcooked both the burger and the steak this time – which they apologized profusely and offered a courtesy dessert. I am sure they would redo it if there wasn’t the time restraint of two hours per seating (we were there at the earlier dining slot). Very attentive service, cozy ambience, great food. A must go place in NYC worth the effort to get their number and book 30 days in advance.

our reservation was cancelled because they had a pipe burst, so we had to reschedule for the next week. however, they did not have our name down when we came. there was a mix up and they accidentally had us down for two weeks later. they initially asked us to sit outside, which we did not want to do as it was raining and we came for the atmosphere/vibes inside. they finally let us sit at a table and told us we had about an hour to finish. all that to say, our experience was definitely impacted by the series of events before we even sat down. i love the drinks here (get the lavender drink) and the atmosphere inside is one of a kind as the previous studio of warhol & basquiat. we were also disappointed when they did not have the duck we wanted to try. my favorite thing here last time i came is the steak, but because we felt like we didn’t have enough time, we didn’t get it. the dishes we got were okay, but nothing exceptional- we got the salmon poke, mushroom risotto, sliders, and tartare toast. they were kind though to offer us free dessert, but overall we felt like the experience was dampered.

Bohemian’s experience lies mostly in the ambience and atmosphere. Sure it probably took a little work to get in this referral-only place but it’s worth the back and forth email exchanging to arrange a reservation. The food was pretty good, we had a group of 4 and tried the omakase, it was a nice dinner overall. Some dishes really good while others I felt lacked slightly. The drinks are fantastic, I recommend the Type C.
