This place is a Valley classic that has been cherished by generations. I came here as a kid in the 70’s & 80’s, and it still provides great food, friendly service, and a clean old-school atmosphere. It’s a breeze to find right on Route 67, there’s ample parking, and it’s worth a longer drive to partake of the classic New England family restaurant/diner experience. You can sit at the counter, or settle into a booth. Prices are fair, portions are good. You can indulge in several breakfast & lunch items, and the specials are worth trying too. I got the hot dog special, which includes 2 long dogs grilled up perfectly on buttered & toasted buns with choice of toppings. The fries are excellent hand-cut style, hot and crispy. They also serve dinners on certain days, and people love those dishes too. Try the Yankee pot roast! I highly recommend checking them out.

4.2 great local spot and awesome weekly car show on Wednesdays. Classic east coast diner, great shakes and sandis.

Eggs Benedict and crows nest are my favorite breakfast items. Order a side of hollandaise sauce and dip your bacon in it! You wouldn’t regret it

This place is a local institution. It seems in recent years to have gone down hill in the food department though…possibly since remodeling and trying to fancy it up (just my opinion). The food just doesn’t seem as good as it once was. I remember the club sandwich being better than it was the last time I had it. I’m not saying it’s terrible, don’t get me wrong. Some things can just be improved on. The staff were all still very friendly and everything was clean. I’ll still pop in from time to time and check in. If things change I’ll update the review.

We were looking for a light dinner before doing some shopping, so we stopped into Fritz’s, which we were always curious to try. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but I couldn’t help but be a little grossed out when we were handed menus that I watched come directly from another table of people, and they were not disinfected. I wouldn’t usually be bothered by that, but with COVID being as bad as it is right now, I was a little skeeved. The pastrami Reuben and BLT were fine, and the menu was about what you would expect for a snack bar. We did order some fries on the side that looked like they were cooked in old oil, but they tasted okay. Overall, it was average here, and I would probably only come back to try breakfast.

Good food but not great service. Coffee came without creamer. Pancakes came with no syrup. Our server didn’t offer me a refill on coffee once. These things should be improved because the food is actually pretty good.
