My family just finished a two week trip across the Midsouth. My intentions was to try to different barbecue joints in all three of those states. Those states being Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Bluegrass barbecue was the first place we tried. I liked all six of them pretty well but Bluegrass barbecue was my favorite of all six. Considering the fact that this was the first of the six places we tried over the last two weeks, that says even more because typically people tend to forget what the first of anything is like when trying a lot of others. In my experience, Alabama, as a whole, seems to have the best barbecue outside of South Carolina.

Nice place to eat. First tome here, but didn’t love the ribeye. Tasted like prime rib, but the service was fast and friendly. I would try it again and try the bbq

Great food, really like this place. Only downfall is sometimes their fried items aren’t fried very well and are soggy. It’s happened a few times with the mushrooms and pickles. But crisped them up in our air fryer and were very good.

Everything was great. We were too full for desert. The owners were friendly and let us know they do delivery. There was an outdoor space to eat as well. The atmosphere was cozy. The inside was clean. We will visit again.

I went in to get a to go order, and the young lady was nice, and she helped me choose between the wing sauce that they had. I asked her to put the sauces that I ordered on the side. After eating the smoked wings without the sauce, I said forget the sauce.

This was the worst food I’ve ever been served in a restaurant. The squash casserole was so old the squash was brown, the carrot salad tasted soured. My meat loaf was burnt. The table and the salt and pepper shakers were so sticky and the white lids didn’t look like they had ever been washed. I should have realized the food would be bad since the parklot was empty. I will never go back.

The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Meatloaf was average but only luke warm. The hashbrown casserole was horrible. It was slimy and tasted like it was made days before. The onions and potatoes were very good. I went to the men’s restroom and found the toilet next to a horrible smelling mop and mop bucket.

The smell of smoke gets your mouth watering when you walk in the door. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. We tried the fried pies for dessert and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend!
