Solid neighborhood spot – a little casual. I’d choose the back patio if it’s a warmer day because it’s a nicer ambiance. All the food was good but nothing stood out. Best dishes were the smoked trout deviled eggs and the arugula hazelnut salad! Also get the key lime pie!

The food was so delicious, we ate so quickly and didn’t realised we could have taken dish pictures! Lovely atmosphere, Americana elevated cuisine and the staff makes you feel at home from the start!

You just can’t go wrong with the Blue Plate. Solid meatloaf that is better than your mother’s…

The food was excellent and the back patio is a paradise for dining! I give them 4 stars because around 9 pm a large party was seated in the patio near us, and some of them were smoking weed. I mentioned it to the server who laughed and said “it’s legal” and then said they were friends of the owner. I personally don’t care if its weed or tobacco both which are legal, but NOT LEGAL TO SMOKE IN A RESTAURANT!

Booked the outdoor patio to have dinner for our anniversary celebration. Highly recommended during cooler days/nights.

Blue Plate is my favorite neighborhood restaurant.

Delicious and delightful. The backyard welcomes you like you’re attending dinner at a good friend’s house, and the staff treats you the same. The fried chicken is the top of my list, with a side of the best cherry limeade ever. Complement the food with the kindness of Shannon and team, and I’ll be back many times again.

Delicious, quality flavors large and small are prepared with flair and aplomb, but without resorting to needlessly pushing creative bounds just for the sake of doing so. After all these years, the meatloaf is amazing. Really more so. Smoked trout deviled eggs are magically smooth and whipped, and just the right creaminess to hug your tongue. Key lime pie was the best I’ve ever had – dairy-rich, lime forward, and not overtly sweet. Whipped cream really tops it off nicely.

During a recent visit to San Francisco, we made a stop at this restaurant. It was the absolute best highlight of our trip! The service was unparalleled, especially from Shannon, the manager she was truly a gem, and made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we walk through the door, the food was also incredibly delicious and amplified American dishes to the next level. We loved how unpretentious the restaurant was, which made the restaurant feel cozy and inviting. The prices were also appropriate for the quality and deliciousness of food. Our favorites were the fried chicken and the Keylime pie at the end. The rest of the servers were really nice too, and the music was wonderful. Cannot wait to visit again and see Shannon.
