Stopped by on 9/3/23 for lunch. It’s a very small building, but the barbecue is excellent! My party got brisket, pepper jack sausage, and a brisket-loaded potato. The service we received was also outstanding. If you are looking for great barbecue off the beaten path, Blue Moon is an excellent stop!

What a surprise! The best brisket I have ever had!! Super tender and flavorful! Melts in your mouth!! Hubby had the peppered sausage and pulled pork which was great too! Cole slaw and potato salad was delicious. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of menu. We will be back!

Have had a lot of BBQ in Texas and in our travels. We know good BBQ. This was one of the best we’ve ever had. Brisket perfect, sausage perfect everything perfect, ribs unreal. What a treat. This place is really good. If your journey takes you within a hour of this out-of-the-way place, go here. The brisket is as good as the best you’ve had. However, the sausage is really special. Garlic and jack cheese might sound odd but it really works and is fantastic. Stuffed potato was good as were all the sides we had. Nice folks too. I’ll return as soon as I can.

The ‘que here was good, but as good as I had hoped when I first heard about it. I think part of the challenge was a very sweet but new cashier. I placed my typical order for a quarter of lean and moist brisket, and a quarter pound of sausage. She didn’t quite hear me right orni said something odd, as what I got was just some lean brisket. It was good but not great. It was dry enough that I needed sauce, which seemed to be a commercial sticky-sweet variety – not what I expected. The potato salad was good. I probably don’t make the trek to Hearne me again, unless I am already cutting over from I-45 to the College Station area.

What a delicious stop for BBQ! I made the drive out of College Station on a recent trip and it was well worth the drive. This is one of those little hole in the wall places that is a gem! The brisket, pulled pork, and chicken were all delicious. I’ll definitely be back when in the area again.

Stopped by for Sunday lunch. Take OSR to the East off of highway 6 on the north side of Bryan. It is many miles out to the Blue Moon BBQ. It is on the South East corner of OSR and Macey road next to the store. We ordered at the inside order window. We ordered a rib/brisket plate with bean and potato salad and a brisket/turkey plate with beans and cole slaw. The food was fine and tasty. They have both inside and outside tables. It was a nice drive in the country. We will back for more.

This little hole in the wall was worth the wait. We had brisket, ribs, pepper jack sausage, corn on the cob, and banana pudding and it was all good.
