Joined a group of about 20 people for dinner. Some of us traveled between 30-70 miles to meet up here. Place is really nice inside with what appears to be original decor. Even the upper portion of the walls and the ceiling are the old original tin designs. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Orders taken and there was a slight wait for food to start arriving which wasn’t really a problem since they also had a really nice bar. Food arrived and was passed around pretty evenly. No body had the wrong order or had to send anything back. Food was good and dessert CUPCAKES & Pie was excellent.

My wife and I did a little downtown shopping in Lincoln. We had a few restaurants to choose from. We both loved the atmosphere and the warm welcome from the employees. Our waiter was great and the food was awesome. I had the Philly steak sandwich with fries. Everything was hot and delicious when it came out, so it made for a great day in Lincoln.

I enjoyed a blue moon w/slice. Son loved the lemon shake up and the food was great. We had Italian beef and bacon cheese burger. Both were spot on, fresh. Service was outstanding. Thank you blue dog.

Our server was very sweet and helpful. The food was a little bland. My husband had the Philly sandwich and he said that it was dry. I had a soup and salad. The salad was OK, but the soup tasted like Campbell’s, salty and meh. The only thing that I thought tasted good was fried.

Food was decent and service was poor. We visited on a Thursday night as we were passing through, it wasn’t too busy, other than there being some type of party. Our server forgot everything and we had to eventually go to the bar and ask to pay our bill

Long tired weekend and looking for a mom and pop restaurant. Parking is spacious along the street for The Blue Dog. If you love dogs this place is an experience. Upon entering it is warm and welcoming. Staff was on top of our entrance and we were seated. Bar lacks variety but this is more restaurant than bar anyways. They do have 6 seats if the bar is for you. Menu is dog oriented with a decent variety for your taste buds and the walls are covered in pics of every dog variety. Skillet of pulled pork over hash browns was good yet the flavors run together. Wrap the wife had was fat and the fries were nicely cooked and lightly salted. Staff is the big point here. Treat you like you live down the street from them and are super attentive. Overall a great experience for the short time we were able to be there.

Great old time atmosphere, fast service and awesome food. Tenderloin sandwich was a thicker style but cooked perfectly!
