Visiting family in Johnston, SC and went to this place for takeout. So happy I did! Finally! A restaurant in Johnston with a delicious choice of southern comfort food. I had the meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and fried okra and it was awesome! I called in my order and picked it up at the drive-through window. The ladies working there were so very friendly. The food was hot and very tasty! I will be back and can’t wait to try the desserts! If you are anywhere near Johnston, check this place out. You can dine-in or call-in your order and pick it up. See the webpage for the days and times. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. They also serve big hamburgers! I see that they also cater.

Home cooking at its best. Vegetables are fresh. Desserts are homemade. We’ve only been there twice so far. We also purchased a pint of chicken salad. Also delicious. Collards were perfect. It’s a nice little road trip for us. Looking forward to eating there again.

Great service! Wonderful friendly staff. We found this place while in SC for a wedding. Such a treat! You have to call and hear the voice message! The food was delicious, especially the ribs, turnip greens, and squash casserole…just to name a few…and the sweet tea was spot on! Definitely a sweet spot to visit while in Johnson!

Didn’t expect the great service from a drive thru but was greeted with an at home welcome that made my eating out of town, on lunch break meal just as comfortable as sitting at the dinner table at home. All the while in a work truck on a time limit and i made it within my time allowed. The ladies are great so expect to leave your tip!
