Sammie was a little overwhelming but the crab Rangoon inspired dish was delicious! We will definitely be back for that and to try other things. Heavy beer culture, but still delivering delicious food. It’s usually one or the other; but the seem to be managing both. Have the good good salt and pepper too

This was my first time visiting Blockhead. We arrived around 12:30 pm for lunch. The hostess was less than friendly, which gave a bad first impression. Our waitress quickly arrived and changed the mood. Megan was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. She helped us to decide which menu items best suited us and suggested modifications based on our preferences. She even brought samples of beer to the table. I ordered the sushi called “Misery Loves Compliments,” and it was AMAZING!! I also tried the Yakisoba with added chicken & veggies. Honestly, I didn’t care for the chicken. It was tough and chewy. The flavor of the dish was great, and the noodles were good. I feel that the dish would’ve been amazing if I had ordered seafood instead of chicken. The bao “Slide Thru” was excellent. My company enjoyed the “Dude Incredible” and stated that it is their new favorite dish. The drinks were good as well. I ordered a rum drink called Sailor Moon, and my company ordered Titos & and Club Soda. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would definitely come back. I recommend everyone stop in at least once. The restaurant is very inviting and well designed.

It’s our lucky day to be able to find a brewery open and serving delicious food at 11am during the week. Love the brick/block theme, kid and adult friendly, fun, creative beers – a style for everyone! We were happy to have picked this brewery for our lunch stop on our road trip.

My husband and I finally tried Blockheads. I have a shellfish allergy, so I’ve been very cautious about going. My husband got the noodles, and I got chicken and waffles. We also got an order of truffle fries to share. He got a bloody Mary to drink, which he said was good, and I got a Sailor Moon. I asked for a Moscow mule and they said they could make it, but she really pushed their drink menu. Our waitress was attending to tables outside too, so our service was a little slower.

Service was a little spotty but the food is always good..while the drunken noodles are probably my favorite I can’t handle the heat very well so the humble pig is my go to. It is delicious. Their cocktails are also fantastic. The Korean BBQ fries or the crab rangoons are also fantastic apps.

We love this place. Brandon is a fantastic bartender. Food and beer is great. Never had anything bad here and we were not knowledgeable about Asian inspired dishes or sushi rolls. They answer all questions you have. Wish they had a bigger bar though.

We were there today a party of 14 I don’t recall our servers name, young lady who was working the area on the East side by the sushi bar apologize for that I should have asked her name. She was attentive, amazing, and every beer and food order was out fast and delicious. Everything here is great highly recommend.

Although our server was not the best (forgot my drink, did not bring chopsticks or soy sauce, didn’t acknowledge us), the food still warrants a 5-star review. We enjoyed sushi, drunken noodles, wings (best I’ve ever had), and the steak sandwich. The food came out quickly but was also paced well. Everything was amazing, hot, and delicious! Over a week later, and I’m still dreaming of our meal. I don’t come to valpo often, but the next time I’m in town, this will be a must visit.
