Hugely disappointed that the crust was so burnt on the just cheese and didn’t bother to eat. But the second slice was extremely good. Loved the pizza, thought it was great, but the second slice made me question consistency.

The birthplace of great pizza! We did a food tour two years ago and had to go back when in NYC. This place has the best pizza by far — you have to try the Nonna Maria Pizza. The crust is very different here giving the pizza a great flavor. The marinara sauce is some of the best I’ve ever had. The garlic knots are very good as well. Service is top notch. If in NYC, you’re waisting your time if you don’t come by here.

The Nona Maria!!! Do your self a favour and try a slab of pie here. This is possibly the best slice I think I have ever had. The Crust was crispy and light. The cheese was gooey and flavourful. Loved the texture of the dabbed sauce. Amazing combination. Need to go back again!!

This pizza joint has created quite a buzz among pizza enthusiasts, so when I went there, I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. Listed as one of the top places to have pizza in NYC, I visited this place as the first stop to my NYC pizza tour. I ordered a regular cheese slice and found it average. The quantity of tomato sauce seemed to be more than the cheese and the cheese wasn’t too flavorful either and the crust was thin. My friend took a buffalo chicken slice and had similar views. Service though was good as the staff served me a fresh pizza and the ambience isn’t that great enough but just decent seating space inside and outside.

Hands down the best slice I’ve had in NYC. Their Nonna Maria slice was perfect, the sweet tomato chunks in the sauce, the ratio of cheese to sauce and the crust were spot on. The comfort when you take that first bite is out of this world, it’s the whole package. I tried their veggie slice as well which was the best I’ve had, the veggies were cooked to perfection and had a lovely smoky flavor. The cheese slice was good but wasn’t my favorite of the lot. The service was fast and the staff were friendly – even threw in an extra slice when I went in for the second time in the same day!

Another popular pizza place to try while in New York. I visited Bleecker Street Pizza since I was nearby in West Village and wanted to give their slices a try. I had the pepperoni and Nonna Maria pizzas. The pepperoni one had so many meat slices on it which I appreciated and really made the pizza taste great. Both slices also had this awesome crispy crust which paired nicely with the cheese.
