Simple, no frills, local diner, and 1.86 non-frufru coffee. Bacon Eggs Over Easy was a treat, with more than enough bacon and rice to satisfy this 5″9′ frame. Bacon, about 5 strips, was cooked perfectly on 2 scoops of George Washington hair-do shaped rice, yes not like some diners that gives you scoops of small ping pong balls for rice. Over easy eggs x2 was big enough to smother all the rice after plugging my fork into its yoke. Picture says a thousands words, see my pic. Best thing over all is that this plate and coffee was under 10 bucks! My new go to wen in hilo.

So tonight we were those customers that came right at closing. With that said, they were still super friendly and kind to me and my daughter. The girl at the window gave us a great rec that’s now a new favorite of ours (strawberry slush float with chocolate ice cream. Major props to them for making a last minute dessert trip with my daughter turn out to be a winner!

Haven’t been here for over 9 years alot of places after the pandemic have dwindled in many ways. I have to say that the food taste like how I remembered it so that was nice prices went up and amounts went down service was ok. Been a bit since I last wrote a review hopefully can find eating places that will motivate my finding the best grinds for da buck back here at home. So until Den ahui hou!

I’d say they have the best burgers that I’ve found on the island so far. Their style is like a meatloaf patty. The service is straight forward and can take a little long sometimes.

Arrived 30 minutes before closing. The person who took our order said we had to leave and couldn’t eat outside. Ended up tailgating because we weren’t allowed to sit at the table on the covered porch. Staff was not friendly and seems they appeared to have places to go more important than us, their customers. We will not ne back!
