Welcome to Blake’s at Southern Milling, a restaurant, bar, and private event space offering Texas-style smoked meats, Southern sides, and classic cocktails in a beautifully preserved and fully renovated historic building situated in the heart of downtown Martin, Tennessee. Built in 1918, 109 S. Lindell Street has long been a landmark and gathering place for locals. Some hundred years later and now home to Blake’s, it is a special destination for locals and travelers alike.

Great place and great food No wait for a table at 4:45pm on Saturday. Burgers and Pimento cheese are both really good . First time trying smoked cream cheese, and it was great! A fair choice of drinks here too. I suggest you give it a try

Culinary Professional Pit Master Blake is on Fire in Martin, TN. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you can see the busy atmosphere of guests . The rustic, vintage building from days gone by is a beautiful upscaled building . The moment you walk in the door, you’re wowed by the amazing , rustic, vintage , historical decor . The host & staff make you feel welcomed, plus the wait to dine is an easy process for the food you’re about to eat . Now, having 6 years of restaurant experience myself , I am impressed at how Chef Blake runs a top-notch customer service atmosphere. Come hungry, you will want to eat an appetizer, entree, plus dessert . I tried the Boubon Maple Deviled eggs , and they were so good , very light , you got a hint of the maple bourbon, I would like to see the sauce drizzled over them more . Grab these delightful deviled eggs as an appetizer. OMG ❗️ ALERT , there is not one BBQ selection of meats that will disappoint you . Mouthgasam is what’s ahead , the smoke flavor , textures. Run Of The Mill sampler platter is where you get the biggest bang for your buck . Choices are as follows copied from the menu online .

This place is the absolutely the best bbq facility in architectural history, atmosphere, views, comfort, customer service and quality of superior bbq meats & sides that I’ve ever experienced!! It’s 21/2 hours northwest of Nashville and 2 hours northeast of Memphis…. Blake’s At Southern Milling, Martin, TN. 5 stars across the board- A destination for anyone who truly loves really high quality BBQ. Well worth my 11 hour expedition from North Carolina. I tried a little of everything and I must say they have an incredible offering and all the meats were spot on… tender, flavorful, great smoke and everything was moist and juicy Blake and his family crew treat everyone like family…. it’s a long trip, but ain’t no hill for a climber. Get ya’ some, if you’re anywhere close, you won’t be disappointed!!

Tried out a spot about an hour from home and was not at all disappointed. The loaded bbq chips were not all that good to me but I would’ve probably enjoyed it more with fries and less toppings that were more focused on the BBQ and sauce which were delicious. I also got the sampler platter to try it all out. The BBQ was fantastic and what I would get next time. The brisket was pretty good as well. The cornbread was excellent along with the pimento cheese. I thought the crackers were over seasoned by a lot but they were good. The Mac and cheese was good but it really did not need the crackers in it at all. It would’ve been so much better without all the extra salt. The smoked sausage was a hit. The turkey had good taste but mine was a little dry that day and the ribs were just not my style at all and would be the last thing I ever ordered again. I was not a fan at all of the white bbq sauce but the mild was good and paired well with the meats. My girlfriend got the turkey and although she thought it was a little dry the sauce helped out a lot and she really enjoyed it. We both thought the Mac n cheese had so much potential but just way too salty. She also got a cookie that left her really happy as we left. Such a awesome building and environment and was a great date spot for us. I would definitely recommend to my friends and others reading this.

When we pulled in the parking lot it was packed, we thought we’d have a long wait, but we were seated immediately. We sat in the bar section. Both hostess had beautiful smiles as we came in. Our waitress, Alisha, was amazing. Very personable, friendly and made us feel like friends even though we’d never met. The servers were very polite. And everyone that we saw spoke and was very friendly. The atmosphere and decor was great! I thought the pricing was a bit high but when our appetizers and plates came they were loaded down!! Large servings in all! The desserts was bomb! A great place to come even your in Martin, Tennessee!!
