We made reservations and waited 2 hours and actually left. Our first experience there was great, this time around not so much. 4 different waitresses that had came to our table to take our order(s). Never got our food. Would recommend if you’re going to have a concert, make sure you are taking care of everyone and have enough staff to do so. Honestly, they don’t deserve the 1 star rating given.

Very disappointed. Ordered well done steak. It was still bleeding. They took it back and cooked it more and it was still bleeding the 2nd time. Never got the appetizer, got our salads after our meals and only got them then because we asked about them. Never once was offered a refill on drinks. Manager didn’t even come talk to us after waitress tried to get them to do something

I was shopping in the area and needed to take my driver to lunch. I asked a local businessman for his possible recommendation and he directed me to this establishment. We both were very satisfied with our meals and the friendliness of the staff. It is clean, comfortable, and hospitable. So 2 weeks later…I went back. My experience was just as good as the first time even when at 2pm instead of 4pm like the previous time. I will go back as it has become my first choice while I’m looking for a good drink and food while I am in Chillicothe. The quality of the food makes the price worth it.

I was visiting my mother during a recent visit to Chillicothe and we had the fortunate experience of having lunch at Blackwater. Highly recommended if you enjoy attentive service and great food – I had the strawberry grilled chicken salad..! It was fantastic.

Nice atmosphere, but the food was not so nice. I had the wings with the hottest dry rub (can’t remember the name). They use maple syrup as a binder (which was not described on the menu). The smell was pretty overwhelming, and the amount of rub was way too much. I could only manage 2 wings. I told the waitress that I could not eat them, and she didn’t even clear them out of my way. So I had to continue to smell them which made me nauseous.

Would have been 5 stars if the hamburger would have been cooked properly and the fries cooked longer. I do totally understand that they were hammered so they still did a great job.

The server was great. The food was good. There were some small issues. Mostly the fried foods needed 15 more seconds in the fryer. We were thre early. The grease might have not been up to temp.
