They have outdoor dining and the space is very well set up! Extremely attentive servers, great food, fast service. Awesome selection of beer, delicious bloody Mary. They wipe down with cleaning supplies after each table. Excellent spot to recharge and relax after paddleboarding or kayaking in the Monksville reservoir.

Great food. They just added a brick oven pizza, which I highly recommend! Don’t forget to stop by the Jason liquor store to grab a bottle of wine for home! Kid friendly with a kids menu.

Pleasantly surprised. Had great burgers, good drinks that were well priced. I felt like nonburger items on the menu seemed a little pricey, but I will be going back. They also had some tasty specials.

Excellent! My husband & I stopped in, ravenous, after an 8 mile hike. They have a wide variety of draft beers. We shared the mussels fra Diablo as a starter. He had a shrimp/mushroom/sun dried tomato pasta, and I had the French onion burger. Both were very good!

Between the daily specials and their regular menu, Black Rock’s food is excellent and prices reasonable. They offer interesting choices in addition to the typical tavern fare. Kudos to the chef. Also of note is Aubrey who holds down the front of the house, is a great bartender and a masterful mixologist. The rest of the crew is fun and does a fine job as well. My only complaint is their hours are limited and they ran out of Barr Hill gin :-). Other than that, Black Rock is a hidden gem in Ringwood.

The place definitely look like it was upgraded since our last trip. I had to talk my wife into going as I wanted to support local businesses in ringwood. The food was good but the customer experience was worst in class. Since we sat down we felt like it was bothersome to order or be attended to. We had to ask for straws , plate. Let them know we were ready to order without a single check in. I ordered a drink with appetizers and I didn’t get my drink until the food was ready about 30 mins later. The sever that was helping us sat down to count some receipts and took over 20 mins before putting our orders in ( after we had ordered). Honestly it felt like we were eating there for free and they were doing us a favor by serving us. I don’t know if it’s an engagement issues or because we don’t look like everyone else in the room but it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. Took me back a couple years. I’ll definitely not visit again but do wish they can get a handle of their customer experience for future customers.

I’m not one to really write reviews, but I was very disappointed. Husband convinced to let let’s try it out seems like under new management or just remodel. As new local Ringwood residents for some time we’ve visited once before when it was Maggie’s during Covid and we had a good time. Today we came with our extended family and it was not a pleasant night. I felt like we were literally being voided. Not once came to ask if we needed anything, or check in (original server). We placed an appetizer, had to let her know we were ready to order after we were waiting for quite some time. It makes your life easier to take all orders for big parties soon so that way the waiting time is less. Then another waiter helped (much more pleasant) and she kept bringing us everything we asked . As a VP for a financial institution I always cater to providing exceptional service each and every single day regardless of what’s happening around me. We felt avoided and I’m really trying not too think it’s a diversity issue, but when you see someone being pleasant with everyone else around you but your table you tend to think different. We always try to support our local business but todays experience was really disappointing.
