Had a nice lunch at the Black Bear Diner in Laveen, AZ, and it was a real nice experience. The decor reminds me of a restaurant cabin in the woods mixed with a traditional diner. The food was good and hot with a nice variety of “diner style” selections. I had the rueben sandwich with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup, and my wife had the BLT with avocado and a side of sweet potato fries. All the food was fresh and hot, and our waitress was very cordial and helpful. I’d definitely go back again and offer it as a suggestion for folks visiting the Phoenix area.

This place was nice! The wait time was a hour to be seated. Also it takes a while for the waiter to come take your order. After the order was placed it took maybe 45 mins to come to the table. The food was nice portions and it was good!! everyone was very nice and helpful there. ❤️❤️

While I have had breakfast here several times, today was my first for lunch. Excellent burger (bacon cheeseburger) and slaw. Friendly service. Short wait time but longer to get food because it was really busy. Worth the wait though.

I have gone to this location 3 times with varying degrees of satisfaction. To start, this is really one of the only places to get a sit-down breakfast in the Laveen area, because of that, I guess that makes Black Bear Diner the best breakfast in town by default.

Throughly enjoyed the breakfast. The waitresses was engaging and fun. I’m not much on rustic decor but I heard about the quality of the food, so I made the trip. It was worth it. Was almost tempted to try their luscious desserts but I can’t. Will have to buy one for someone else and let them judge. Will certainly be back.

Delicious savory goodness breakfast my whole family enjoyed their plates. Total cost for us was $70. Would definitely recommend and come again! My steak was well done and delicious with their papa burn signature sauce

Food was okay, no wow factor. We also only got checked on once by our server, waited about 20 mins for the bill. The place was super cute though, menu looks like a morning newspaper which we thought was fun.
