Gem of a little restaurant. Chef/Owner DK is simply amazing. He always has a great selection of top quality fish. Flavors are outstanding but not overdone like some Americanized sushi joints. DK keeps it simple to allow you to really experience each fish’s unique flavor. I highly recommend this place. Best sushi I have ever had.

I was craving sushi pretty late. A quick Google search and positive reviews led me here. At first impression I was already hesitant. As I walked past the chiller I notice a scarce amount of feably looking fish pieces. The bathrooms and restaurant need a good cleaning. I ordered the Albacore delight and I didn’t enjoy the taste of the sweet sauce. The fish didn’t taste fresh either. I also tried the Spicy seafood Ramen. The broth was tasty but the fish was grey and tasted terrible. I give 2 stars for service. Such a great opportunity and surprise to have a Sushi option this late. The restaurant just needs to refocus on quality and perhaps staying open late at this time isn’t the best option. A new customer came in today and had good service but unfortunately not coming back for the food.

After a less than stellar visit to another sushi restaurant, me and my brother decided to find a real sushi place to make our favorite spot, we went to a few but in the end only Aomori was the one that stood out. The food is the best I’ve had of it’s kind and the service is the friendliest without being obviously fake, and for as long as DK is making anything there I’ll be enjoying it.

DK was such a delight to meet! Other than the delicious food, this hole in the wall has such character inside and bless this man for being open late at night to fulfill my 10pm sushi cravings. Small local business that we will definitely be supporting in the future!

We’re looking for some good sushi in the area. Found this small restaurant and decided to give it a try based on the good reviews. We’re not disappointed! The place is small but the chef is very friendly and the food was fresh, quickly made and was simply delicious. Tried the dragon and tampura shrimp rolls with seafood udon. Yum!

DK is super friendly. That must be the first impression from anyone coming to this place. There might be many other places with better sushi you can find, but sometimes eating out is not only about the food. The welcome feeling and friendliness that make me feel like i’m having food at my friend’s place is the one make me always come back to this place

This restaurant and the owner are horrible. I ate there in July of this year and was double charged. When I tried to contact the owner about the error no one answers the phone during posted business hours. When i submitted a claim through my credit card company the owner is now denying it. But has not provided any of the paperwork. He should have a signed copy of the receipt showing I only ordered and ate $70 worth of sushi between 2 people. There was no tip issue because we left a tip in cash not on the receipt. BUYER BEWARE!!!
