Every single thing we tried is delicious, amazing quality and freshly made.. The fried calamari, the eggplant fries, the watermelon cucumber salad & the Amalfi pizza are highly recommended. For dessert, the Tuscan Almond torte was a perfect balance between sweet & citrus.. Allan, our server, was very friendly, and every single thing he recommended was on point. We are definitely coming back! 🙂

I went for brunch today and enjoyed my experience more than the first time I visited. The food was great and so was the ambiance. I especially recommend the Avocado Toast with Lox. Also recommend their Blood orange Mimosa and Irish Coffee. Will definitely visit again.

I visited this restaurant during Houston Restaurant Weeks and I visited it mainly because they were participating. It was definitely a disappointment that I actually had to ask the server for the special menu. Why participate if you will not promote it???? He also took my order without asking me which sides I wanted. I had to find him more than 5 min later to ensure that my order is complete. Our water kept running out without anyone making sure it is refilled. And they seemed to have been short on i e because we didn’t get any.

One of my favorite brunch spots! Great ambiance, great service, great location, and most importantly fantastic food! Take a tour of the Menil museum then follow up with brunch – it’s a blast for a date or to bring the family.

Lovely, lovely spot. Easy to access from the museum parking lot. Set in a separate building from the collection. As expected, the place feels very well designed and artsy. The beautiful food matches the setting, and is also very good and creative. We enjoyed a duck salad, excellent ratatouille, and exceptional grain/vegetable bowl. Dining spaces include two rooms, a fenced patio, and an entry patio. Table service.

The chef came and greeted me and this is my first time here. Its my birthday so I felt so special and welcome! The afternoon tea was delicious. Its not a white gloved tea service but the savories were delicious and the price was just right. The work put into their items shows and everything was fresh. The best dessert was the lemon meringue tarts!!

Bistro Menil describes themselves as “European-inspired, American fare paired with craft beer, cask wine, and thoughtfully selected wines by the glass or bottle”. This is exactly what I encountered when dining at Bistro Menil and wholeheartedly recommend you dine here. Greg Martin, chef and proprietor, is actively engaged in the day to day operations with him constantly making rounds asking diners about their experience during my visit. His enthusiasm is reflected in the service and quality of food.

Great food and service! We were a party of three for tea service (we added the third person the day of which they kindly accommodated). The portions were ample. The offerings were classic and well made. The tea selection super varied and well brewed! (Each person gets their own pot!) Our waiter was very kind and even brought out a candle for my dessert since it was my birthday!

I used to be a regular at Bistro Menil for its atmosphere and its wine selection. Recently I went there for the usual lunch orders, but I felt I got discriminated for being a tea drinker. Here is what happened:
