Went in cautious from the various one stars but I think they maybe a bit exaggerated. Went on a Sunday night and was treated with great care and respect. The food was typical to the profile of French cuisine and the flavors were robust. I greatly enjoyed the braised beef pappardelle but regretted not trying the escargot because that table next to use seemed to really enjoy them.

0 STARS DO NOT GO HERE. When we arrived we had one more guest than we had reserved a table for and when we asked if our extra person could be accommodated we were met with a dramatic eye roll from the host. Dinner was mediocre. After dinner our served added an extra item to our bill after running our card. We wrongfully assumed the price jump was due to an included tip so we didn’t leave an extra one. The male server proceeded to chase after us (4 young women) in the parking lot and demand a tip and offered to fill in our bill for us with his own preferred tip. We told him we’d call the restaurant to figure it out. Then we were contacted by the host who was less than apologetic and accommodating for the restaurants mistake and the misunderstanding. Instead she proceeded to shame us and demanded more than a 10% tip which we generously offered despite the servers strange and frankly threatening behavior. We did not intend to not leave 20% tip, but given the circumstances we weren’t feeling inclined. The HOST then offered to fill in a 20% tip for us!! Again!! So inappropriate. And then she threw it up in our faces that she accommodated our extra person. Super uncomfortable. This restaurant and it’s staff do not understand how to EARN a generous tip, instead feel entitled to one strictly based on their mediocre cuisine. We’re still getting harassed over text by the hostess.

Absolutely disgusting. I didn’t come dressed up and they questioned to seat me and my friends down, the host ran after us and then attempted to seat us in the corner as if we weren’t going to spend $1000.00+

An amazing combination of ingredients in every dish. Never disappointed, service is outstanding and the owner, also the chef, Arie, makes you feel like you’ve known him for ever. My personal favorite is escargot. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

Literally one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Drinks were out of this world, everything was fresh and local. We even got to meet the owners who were working there. We went back 2 nights in a row it was so good. Def check it out if you are in the area

I really wanted to like this place…presentation was beautiful, service was alright, but unfortunately….the food really missed the mark. It was incredibly bland. Nothing had any depth or true flavor to it. It’s hard not to feel ripped off when you spend $500 for dinner and nothing is memorable. Normally spending this money I expect something that wows me, and Bistro Ete was extremely “blah”. I wouldn’t recommend.

We went for restaurant week last night thinking the $44 price fix was worth it and ended up spending nearly $120 for $10 worth of still water, a duck wing appetizer containing 3 small wings per dish, and a gelato dessert that was without a doubt the worst thing I’ve ever tasted in my entire life (I think if shaving cream and bitter chocolate were combined in a dish, this is what it would resemble). We were sandwiched between a table of 5 and an older couple in a noisy back room, meanwhile another couple behind us got a cozy corner—fit for a table of 4–all to themselves. Our server wasn’t the friendliest, merely just took our orders and didn’t offer any suggestions, nor did she come back to check on us in-between meals, and forgot to give us bread, too. The only decent part of the meal was the bolognese. I hate to sound harsh but we were really looking forward to our dining experience yesterday and it just wasn’t good.

The best restaurant in the Hamptons, hands down. Just dined at their Greek Easter celebration and it was fantastic. They had a whole roasted lamb that was out of this world. Every course was better than the next. We had such a great time? The staff is top notch and attentive. Spicy Margarita is the cocktail to get!
