I was super excited to try this place as a coworker had highly recommended it for a celebratory dinner. We walked in and the hostesses wasn’t very welcoming. We were then seated against a wall at the smallest table I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. It was also extremely close to the table next to us which happened to be a loud group. The waiter could hardly hear me as we placed our order and my husband and I had to pretty much yell to speak to one another. It felt crowded the entire meal and not so comfortable. The food was great but was overpriced. Our waiter had also forgotten about us a few times throughout the night which made the experience worse. Will not be returning or recommending.

If you are looking for authentic Italian food, you must try Bistro D’Antonio in Waxhaw. I recently ate dinner there with a party of 8, and we all loved the food. Our server, Edward, provided us with exceptional service. We shared the bruschetta and calamari for an appetizer. Both were delicious. I ordered the Rigatoni for my dinner, and it was outstanding. For dessert, I shared a cheesecake. Bistro D’Antonio also has a great To Go Menu. This is a fantastic Italian restaurant and I look forward to coming back.

I had such a good experience coming here for my works annual awards banquet! Everyone was so nice and accommodating even though it was packed. Food was the best I have had in a while. Owner was so nice and friendly. Perfect place to come and celebrate a special occasion!

Took my sister-in-law there for her birthday. Last minute plans. I did not pre look at the menu or prices. Staff was nice to make us a reservation, although none was needed. The place was fairly empty. The bruschetta and everything else tasted good. I do think they are priced too high. I paid $104 plus tip for two people without wine.

I made reservations for Mother’s Day because we had a party of 11, and I wanted to go someplace that I knew would be fantastic. We were not disappointed! Mario was our server, which we have had him on numerous occasions, and he was perfect. We have never had bad service or bad food. In my opinion, it is one of the best fine dining restaurants in the area. The entire staff was wonderful and we enjoyed Antonio and company when they sang Happy Birthday.

This hidden gem is a gift to Waxhaw! Every employee was engaging and informative, the food was flavorful (even the gluten free pasta was surprisingly good and that’s hard to do) and fresh! Fernando was so attentive and answered all of our questions with genuine care and excitement for the menu. The lemon sorbet palette cleanser is such a nice touch and a fun experience for first time guests. All in all a great experience! We’ll definitely be back.

I ordered the fried calamari appetizers. I thought it would be small plate with only a few calamari, like four or five tiny pieces, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the portion is big enough to fill me up. It came with a lemon wedge, a bed of greens, marinara sauce, a tangy white sauce, and grilled peppers. The calamari wasn’t greasy at all and was crunchy! Great job, chef. The plating was beautiful too.

Sat across from the kitchen and could see the server cut and prepare our bread with bare hands. 1st dish was cold and the replacement dish was inconsistent with hot and cold spots… The microwave must be heating unevenlly. The overall taste of the food was pretty bland but drinks were ok.
